Do you think Blizzard will release a permanent scroll of companion with CE or through DLC? Instead of using the scrolls it would be a summon that stays with you forever picking up your gold.
Blizz will not be releasing any DLCs for any of their games ever. :]
For CE though it sounds interesting, but it would be too beneficial. CEs usually offer cosmetic incentives. Like portraits. What wouldn't surprise me is unique banner arts, probably a pet (that does nothing but follow you around) and most definitely rewards in WoW and SC2. Also metaachivements with the 2 other games over Bnet and a Feat (achievements that give no points but are for showing off).
Other then that your guess is as good as mine. But nothing that helps one person have an advantage over another.

For the love of GOD, no pets. Don't ever put pets into another game. This isn't Farmville, I don't want to see your decked out kitten running around with demons everywhere and stuff. It's totally ridiculous and takes me right out of the game.
Scroll of companions are sort of pets but they run around picking your gold up. Maybe i was not very clear when i said DLC what i actually meant was something you can buy at the Blizzard store
I like it just the way it is, every once in awhile you get the companion and it helps you out for a short period of time, I don't hear anyone complaining that the shrine that gives you extra xp for a short period of time. I mean really you don't have to pick up your gold anyway you just have to walk near it so there isn't much of an advantage here. I just think this is the tip of the iceberg with these little additions like the companion and the treasure goblin I think even more random things like this will exist forcing you to cover every inch of the map.

Indeed. DLC is content, e.g. stuff to go through and experiences to be had. The Blizz store offers only cosmetic upgrades that benefit no one but are sometimes nice to look at. And if you're asking if Blizz will release Diablo stuff on the Blizz store... of course they will. Actually Diablo is the perfect game out of the 3 existing franchises. There will seriously be a LOT of things in the Blizz store. Companions are one such that I'm very looking forward to.
@TagDerEnte3 Well obviously some people find it OFFENSIVE that Blizz would want to add new stuff to a new game that isn't anything like the old version of the game! Why, just the thought of it! Ludicrous! Takes you right out of the immersive gameplay experience!
A poodle near the main way point to greet me after battle
A horse to carry me home after getting wounded
Some pet chickens to feed the starving
and a rooster to call the time of day
Whilst I understand the sarcasm, some of this would be hilarious to add
Definitely don't want the WoW style vanity companion pets added to Diablo, and also agree with some people that the 'cute' companions like the rabbit don't really fit with the chilling, dark atmosphere. I do love the idea of a temp companion helping you to pick up gold, but would certainly have preferred Blizz to stick with more creepy, dark themed pets instead.
Whilst I'd love a permanent gold fetching servant (would have to be a fluffy dog though, complete with tongue hanging out the side of his mouth all the time) I don't think a perma-pet would be fair for CE. It would be too much of an advantage and would effectively remove the need for the "pick up gold radius" item modifier.

My gripe was about having a pet like WOW as a bonus from a Collectors Edition... I would hate that.
The companion though we see in game play that is created from a scroll,,, I love!.
So far I have seen a rabbit, piglet, centipede. These little gimmicks that are optional I have no qualms with.

Although a mini-Diablo/mini-Baal pet would be pretty awesome too =] like you kicked their ass and turned them into loyal micro demons
