I won't be surprise for a fourth difficulty (I already heard this rumor at G4 I believe) but I do hope they add flavor to it than just adding numbers to health and stuff. You're way too ahead on level though, lol. Max is only 60 atm.

I love all loot fest kind of game! I will be playing all of them for the next few years. Loot fest games I'm looking forward to: LotR: War in the North,Torchlight 2,Borderlands 2 and of course Diablo 3.
Could it also be possible that hell ends at lvl 60 and Inferno is all lvl 60 monsters, but harder and with better loot?
I like this idea . I really hope that inferno is REALLY hard and that it require the right group comp/rune setup/passive setup and some strat to beat boss .
Yeah probably something like we'll see more 2-3 (or even more) lieutenants or 1-2 unique bosses per encounter. Just thinking about it is scary.

I really like this idea as well. Ideally the gear isn't that much better to where people don't HAVE to play inferno. It would give an outlet for hardcore gamers who have really developed their play skills and items a chance to play a very difficult game. Reserved for say top 20% of players initially.
Yeah, this 4th difficulty is hilarious, because Blizz has been telling us for years that a 4th difficulty added nothing to the game and wasn't a very good way to address the endgame issue.
Wonder what else they were wrong about before they decided they were right?
Have they confirmed nightmare mode? They might of ditched Nightmare for hell. I would love Norm, Nm , Hell , Inferno tho and make it so you need a party to survive. Unless you are the best of the best.

Good point. The belief that Inferno is the 4th difficulty presumes that Nightmare is the second. Not sure if there's any confirmation on that out there.
It's not a bad assumption given the previous two games, but it's still an assumption.
So im french and was reading this http://http://diablo3.judgehype.com/ and they are talking about Hell and inferno difficultie .
So what do you think , normal > nightmare > hell > inferno?
It could be normal 1-30 nightmare 30-50 hell 50-70 and inferno 70+ . It would be awsome imo .
There is a lvl 60 cap in the game so no.
But my guess is that a 4tdifficultyty is the end game, harder then hell with maybe more frequent rare monsters/mini bosses which means more drops in general but more challenging, since they haven't talked about thier end game at all,im guessing this would be what they want people to do instead of doing the same 3-4 bosses over and over again, since they disliked that from Diablo 2.

I would even be excited if it were some sort of four player experience (but that's because I have the friends to back it up with).

Ultimately, it’s going to take the game's harder difficulty modes -- Hell and Inferno -- to challenge the limits of the best Diablo III players.
Inferno means "Hell" in both Italian and Portuguese, so this word may refer to:
Hell or Conflagration (a large uncontrolled fire)
Google DANTE..
edit: however, as a sidequest of some type of "endgame", inferno is possible like an extension OF hell difficulty.

I hope they aren't just referring to it as Inferno to please some other country. Like how in China they had to change a ton of stuff in WoW.
