I started off playing RPGS with Everquest 1, then i moved onto EQ2 and WoW. Don't get me wrong I loved WoW but once I was in the 60's I got so tired of questing I had to stop playing. Im an Athlete so I don't have as much time as other people to be running around questing like a madman. The overflow of my quest book made me so angry. My question is, is D3 going to be a game like WoW based on questing, or can I have the fun like I had in EQ where I can just take out mobs and have fun leveling, and raiding mobs.:)
Quests in D3 won't be like in WoW but more of a mix up between D2 and D1
In short some quests will be randomly generated and there won't be that much of them (compared to WoW), and it is most likely that anyone will be able to do all of them without wasting insane amount of time.
Also, does D3 have a raiding system.. such as 40 people taking out one mob? Or is it much more self orientated.
It shouldn't. I don't think they would make Battle.net servers that could support that many people.

100% no. in d2 the most people in one game was 8. They were talking about wanting to cut that down to 4/5 in D3. If there was raiding... this wouldn't deserve to be called Diablo.

"If we're actually making the game worse with no other reason than to be different from WoW, then it's a bad choice." - Jay Wilson (D3 lead designer)
Yeah but being able to fight 7 other people outside of Act 1 town was pretty fun. I'm sure it'll be fun with 4 others too but I don't it will be the same.
And the questing will be different, I'm sure of it. Don't forget the 100,000+ monsters we'lll enjoy killing.

Weaseling out of things is important to learn. It's what separates us from the animals... except the weasel.
