you cant have a male Amazon, you can have what could be considered to be a male amazon though. a male archer, Hunter or Ranger, they are great with a bow like the Amazon, but they arent exactly like the Amazon or more specifically a male version, as Amazons are female only.

-Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.
I would like to see an epic battle between heaven and hell. Possible with human as a choice of character. And some way to maybe evolve ones human into either Angel or Demon, to gain an extra level of power. Lets say some kind of experiencing, getting powerful, and then on a later stage, be powerful enough to get to choose path. And then gain even more power.
I only dream of evolving my char into a Tyrael type of being. At least visual, and with outrageos pools of power =)
Hmm yeah, hehe. LOTR has got a great universe, but I don't think the mmorpg based on this is going to be any good at all.
The Diablo games has proven themselves, to me, the best games ever made. And when I think about it, maybe it's true what you say. I don't know. It was only an idea that strafed my mind =)
But maybe something in the middle, more like what you are describing. And maybe a degree of transition would be nice also. I don't know. Like being taken under the "wing of heaven".
Some of the character classess and skill sets in Diablo D2 and LoD will be possible to view as if they were grades of heavenly\demonic skills... so maybe what I mean is not to literally grow wings but more in a metaforic sense "be more angelic\demonized". Hmm but then again, wings would definately be nice
chars must remain human. thats the way its always been. with the whole gooder you are the more angelic you become, and the more eviler you are the more deminc you become let fable deal with that. like ive said may a time before diablo is unique with its human only chars, it should stay that way.
a suit of armor that looks similar to what Tyrael wears, yeh i could see such a thing existing in d3. chars becoming an angel like tyrael i dont think so.

I agree actually, but it would be fun to see a gradually change in appearance I think. Like, for example, you start out as a young sorceress with small powers, then when you gain experience\powers you "grow" in a way, thats not limited to clothing. Of course, you will not loose your humanity by doing so. So for example seeing a druid choosing a dark side and becoming more demonlike would be fun I think.
But you have actually managed to convince me that the stay-human part of Diablo is a good thing to hold on to, because as you mention, so many other games have the inhuman chars. But I don't think the gradually appearance shifting have to be limited to Fable, though I've actually never played Fable more then 10 minutes.
diablo is pretty much as close to real life as games get, its chars, and most of its NPCs are humans only and whether you are good or not has no bearing on how you look. i.e if your good you dont have a halo and if your bad you dont have demon horns like you do in Fable. Diablo works great with the way the characters are presented, their (and by theirs i mean yours) actions have no bearing on their appearence, others or the world, unlike what happens in Fable, and is sure to happen in Fable 2.
ok you couldnt be evil in d1 or d2, you were good, and being good didnt affect the way you looked. this is similar for most dungeons and dragons games too. you alignment has no direct bearing on your appearance. being evil allowed you to wear evil only items and the looked different but, you skin tone, hair, body size, body type didnt change based on your decisions.
if i druid become evil he is "fallen" and becomes a shadow druid, similarily a evil or fallen Paladin is an Anti Paladin.
no im not from Iceland. i hail from New Zealand. where they filmed Lord of the Rings. there is snow and ice where i live, and we get a lot of sun during the summer (but its not midnight sun (thats Antarctica and Anarctica), and we have hot springs nearby too.

I've never played d1 before but in D2 and LOD you weren't necessarily "good", but you always had the common cause of destroying the 3 evils and stopping them from taking over the world...so you could've been a demon (just example) but you would still have the same cause simply because even though they are evil like you, you wouldn't want THEM ruling the world. So "evil" or "good" they never really were specific if you read about the different classes they were really just split up around the diablo world and band together to stop this uprising evil...I think that sums it up

you were a force of the light. you couldnt say try and help the Prime Evils in the previous games. you had to destroy them. prehaps in d3 you have the option to help them, in some way.

What he means though is that, while for example the necromancers fought the Three, they did it for the equality rather than for the evil. When the influence of Hell came into Sanctuary it rocked the world off it's natural balance, and thus had to be fought.

i am trying to say that unlike in Fable your actions dont affect your person. i mean if diablo was like Fable the amount of "good" point you would get for killing the prime evils, hell even the most evil char would end up with a Halo. i dont want all that "cheesy" good and bad stuff to be in diablo. good guys having Halos bad guys having horns. it would be the same with all that.
in d3 there should clear good and evil chars but not like in Fable where its pretty obvious who's who. some of the most evil people dont appear evil. Baal was disguised as Tyrael. posing as an Arch Angel thats pretty evil.

Well, I don't disagree with the fact that actions does NOT affect appearance in Diablo. At least so far.
But it would be a cool effect! =)
And why drag it so far as being halo's or horns? I don't see why it easily could be no more than facial expression and shadowing of the character.
And something I wonder is why you are saying that Baal was disguised as the archangel Tyrael... ? Do you conclude this from seeing the video? Or is it written somewhere in the official lore?
Btw OT, here in Norway we've got Ice, snow and midnight sun =) We haven't got hot springs though, but thats not far from here either, neighbour country Iceland has got that =) New Zealand is somewhere I want to visit some day! Definately!

i was commenting on Fable. that happens in Fable. i dont want that in D3.

have you not seen the movie? if you watch it you will find out its Baal. and since it's in the movie its now taken as fact.

Now I see what you mean Elfen, and I agree with you. Persons should not have some good/evil points that affect their appearence, not even in the slightest.
However, I do not have any objections to players serving either Heaven or Hell and as a result of that get some form of reward. So long as it makes sense I'm with it.

thats my point. being evil in DND doesnt affect how you look. D3 should mirror this, rather than mirror Fable in this respect

the game is Heaven and Hell, serving either one of them should net you some reward, and yeh it has to be sensical and logical.
