i think its right of you that evil does dmg to all people. maybe it would be cool if you realy head something with land's where you are fighting for. but thats not realy d2 anymore.
another idea is that there are more nations and they all fight against eagother. maybe its cool if you can get rang's in the army or something like that. maybe this is not d2 anymore but it could be cool if it was like that.
o crap i posted it well (i just say something) a warrior can kill mage but that he is weak against druid and that youc an make a perfect team. or that some people ware weak against magic monster and then other against melee monster. cuzz i think its stupid now if you have good pala with enigma and some shit you can easy kill all monster in hell it would be cool that eag char need someone who has not same weaknes.

well dude i disagree. i like the fact that if you make a good character you can kill almost every monster. this is backed up from the ever present truth that to get there you must work hard, make good decisions in stats and skills, and still know how to operate one. even then you cant make it. you need godly items to kill every monster in the game. you yourself must be godly for your char to be godly. you dont see many of those chars anyways.
I think that a char that can fly would be cool although that would be kinda weird because it would get places faster and everyone would choose that char
yea i dont mean to flame but the whole point in diablo is to kill. will people be able to shoot them down?? how would we tell if their flying?? just remember that the point of good games is to keep old traditions going with new environments.
yeah i guess the point is i think when/if they do make diablo3 that should have a couple of new chars cause im kinda bored of the other chars i have 3 lvl 90 chars

My necro, lightning sorc, and hammerdin can kill all monsters in the game :/
My vote is for a Ninja type character, maybe a demon/half man character that changes from one to the other, an angel (similar to Tyrial) or why not have a vampire or another sort of angel type character that isn't actually an angel? Say a priest or something? Afterall it is good vs evil right? What about a mythical type character? Dragons, Merlin the magician etc?
Just putting ideas forth

Riddle them with fear!
Then kill them if they get that far...
bearing in mind that this is all speculation and there is no real way of know which classes will be used, but here are a few ideas for char that people from this site have come up with
now not all these concept are likely to be used but if most of them were used it would be pretty cool. and yes I along with the other people here who help create this list do realize that some of these characters are very similar to each other, and thus having both of them in the game would be utterly pointless.
i do apologise for the vagueness of the characters i.e no specific skills or abilties are not given in most cases.
- choose male/female => choose class => choose faction heaven or hell, faction determines whether your char is light or dark, eg Paladin or Anti-Paladin (anti is kinda like the reverse, anti does not work for all classes some just have a good or bad version, where the good and bad versions arent complete opposites like the barb) -somewhere between 10 - 20 or so chars, keep some of the original classes and some new ones -more warrior, priest and mage types, there are lots of classes yet to be explored and some are quite fun to play; Anti-Paladin (anti-Paladin is not a necromancer) Archer (Ranger) (kinda like male amazon) Bard (not the hellfire version a good one) Bounty Hunter (adept at tracking/stalking) Corsair (powerful warrior thief) Crusader Dragoon Drifter or Nomad Fist Fighter Hellion (very powerful and demon like fighter but is human) Ninja (kinda like male assassin) Ranger Samurai (kensai from DND) Thief Wizard Slayer (adept and fighting enemies who specialize in using magic attacks) -some more warrior classes or warriors with a few magic spells -there is really only 1 healer (paly) and yes people like to going healers, so more healer classes, one of which is a kind of exorcist, good against demons and undead; Adept Alchemist (animates inanimate objects, creates weapons out of the elements around him an can create powerful concoctions) Cavalier Cleric Inquisitor Prior Monk (not the hellfire version a good one more like the DND version, unarmed, martial artist) Zealot Warrior Priest (think knight's templar with spells) -a new type of mage would be nice either a; Abjurer specializes in protection magic (kinda like auras and the armor spells) Conjurer specializes in creating creatures and objects to help him Diviner specializes in detection and divining magic (find/disable trap, far sight and identify) Enchanter specializes in manipulating the minds of sentient beings Geomancer specializes in earth based magic Hydromancer specializes in water based magic Illusionist specializes in creating illusions to confuse and mislead Invoker specializes in invocation/evocation magic (lightning/magic type spells) Pyromancer specializes in fire based magic Necromancer specializes in magic dealing with death [but we already have 1] Transmuter specializes in magic that alters physical reality Warlock (not like the wow one) A supernatural character whose sinister powers are inborn abilities, not spells, Such as shapeshifting into Lycanthropes (Lycans is short for Lycanthropes) Alternatively, the Geo/Hydro/Pyromancer could be just the one Elementalist class and his skill trees are divided into Earth/Fire/Water based spells -definitely no Subclasses or Multiclasses in d3 just True classes unless by subclassing it is you choose either; -Warrior then you choose a warrior class -Priest then you choose a priest class -Rogue then you choose a rogue class -Mage then you choose a mage class

-Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.
I came up with the idea of another sorceress, except this time her focus' are on either dark magic, light magic, or storm magic. Dark magic is powerful and reckless, great for an evil character that is helping in order to try and claim the world for herself. Light magic is healing and maybe can toss in some damaging spells too. Also, teleport should be in here, it was the best spell in D2 that doesn't do damage. Storm magic is just like elemental spells with the Druid, only it also has little bits of all three trees of the D2 sorc. So, what do you think?
seeing as how weapons have a light and dark version it seems logical some skills will to.

I for one am a barbarian fan, so I would like to keep that type of character. Diablo 3 hopefully will keep something like that. I was always thinking about the Lord Of The Rings. I'm talking about the muscled up jacked orcs in the Two Towers. It would be cool that in Diablo 3, they made a demon like that. The demon would see the error of his ways and want to turn good. There would be a cool story behind it and all. Like Diablo would have used him as one of his top generals in hells army. That would of all happened before he turned to the light.
D3 will have to have a Barbarian/Fighter esque character, because every RPG game ever made has had a form of Barbarian... SoulCalibur that storyline sounds tight. But I bet all the NPC's wouldnt trust him at first, seeing how he is hellspawn.
i think that WoW should not interfere too much in d3. i mean its a great game, but d3 has its own theme and its own world. what happens in wow, stays in wow. same rings true for all games.
thanks, but in truth it is not my list, i am not the sole creator of that list, although i did make a large part of it.
and yes it covers nearly every possible class one could want. if people actually take the time to read and think about the classes people would see that many ideas people have posted are in the list, even if its indirectly, i.e a char who can change into demons and the like, this is covered by the warlock, his powers are inborn abilities, shapeshifting into anything seems like more of an inborn ability rather than a spell.

Also the mage classes seem a little lacking. only two Necromancer and sorcerer/ess hence the reason i thought of some more, some may obviously appear better than others but if used effectively they can be just as good.

I think that a sweet class to use would be some type of a summoner. but total evil status like demons and stuff like that it would be kinda nice to get guys to fight for you
I'm leaf-twistin, but still kill your whole belief system
I speak wisdom, translated to street diction

Now I slash you, I'm the slave wit snapped shackles

We murdered the fakes involved in the three-sixty
Eighty-five face the truth, you're too dumb

Manipulate the earth that you formerly believed
Even after you're buried underneath the soil
Send a message to hell, nobody grieve for you

Spend eternity wit the underground forces
Your screams echo in deaf ears of the remorseless
