You can stack either Fire or Phys, Phys is better for fetish, Fire is better for Dog/Garg
Find yourself a tallmans finger, WP garg, Fire Dog, Fetish Army.. Once they fix FA/FS then you can add the passive as well
Ive heard that there is no reason to stack phys except the bracers?
If you have an mask of jeram you already have so high phys damage, that the other parts you add gives you way less?
%Physical does stackadditivewith Mask of Jeram, NOT multiplicatively. This means that if you're using Mask of Jeram you'll most likely be better off with cc/cd/ias rather than %physical.
If you stack fire and use WP garg he will hit for massive amounts, just get used to getting him to actually hit things
If you have a flayer, FS is def worth using as it spawns them very easy. It stinks that FA kills off your FS but you can find a use for that as well. What I do is
FS.. have 10-15 FS running around, when I come up to a pack/boss, I would pop Garg, Pop FA (FA will kill off your FS and make room for your Garg + Dog to make a spot at the boss) then the FA crowd around them. I only use this setup when using my Flayer (with addling toads) you will have awesome crowd control as well
Since when Mask of Jeram PET DAMAGE INCREASE is %physical damage? If that was true, using Pets with Fire elemental Rune (they actually do their melee damage as the element rune you choose) wouldn't increase their damage. Mask of Jeram increase the damage of your pet in general, not with a %elemental attached to it.
And you can also have Phys% on neck and weapon also, with doombringer.
Myself never tried Fire elemental with pets, only physical, and I or use SMK with Zunimassa set, or Ren'ho flayer with Fetish Sycos passive (and no Fetish Army). I haven't been playing my WD for some weeks now, but I'll test Fire damage, I got a good Giant Dog ring yesterday.
MOJ is required obviously which is why I didn't even mention it. If you look through Paul's post (he posted a bunch of good information actually)
The buff from Mask of Jeram is added on to %Element group.
Examples:
1) Sycophants (Physical) - MoJ 80% + 20% Phys on gear = 100% as Physical
2) FA (Head Hunters, Poison) - MoJ 80% + 20% Poison on gear = 100% as Poison
3) FA (Tiki, Fire) - MoJ 80% + 20% Fire on gear = 100% as Fire
4) 8 sycophants & FA (Legion) - Moj 80% + 40% Physical on gear
= all fetishes get 2.2x multiplier as Physical damage
If its true that MOJ stacks with all elemental damage, it would be better to roll other stats then elemental damage on pieces since its only stacksadditiveand when you get over 100 you get very little for the 20 % extra from pieces...

True... Maybe it's worth more damage a Trifecta neck rather than Elemental, and bracers with ASP would be great also... I got some that didn't come with elemental and critical (lacuni)... should've saved them =/.
My mask already gives me 96%, iif it's added to elemental group than it's not worth stacking more element%.
It still means you absolutely want elemental damage on your bracers, however a well rolled Trifecta neck is also now certainly worth more than a medicore +20% ele damage neck. It also slightly devalues SoJ a bit because the %ele damage is that much less useful, which leaves room for RoRG + Tall Man's, and going a pure fire build with Tiki Torcher FA.
Edit: @OP, really it just depends on what you have available to you. To answer your questions individually:
Phys and Fire are both good, however I think Fire's better if you have TMF (although you really won't be running THAT much ele damage so it doesn't matter as much).
SMK is absolutely worth using if you're lucky enough to get your hands on one, even if you use Zuni, the reduced cooldown of BBV alone makes it worthwhile.
4pc Zuni isn't "necessary" for an end-game pet doc because of the FA/FS fetishes overwriting each other, however using it does free up a passive slot, and gives you much more elemental freedom.
TMF is absolutely amazing, and would definitely recommend using it.
I'm personally using a fire build (even though I only have 17% fire dmg), and luckily enough have Zuni, TMF, and SMK. The fire fetishes reset the BBV/FA cooldown so fast (with SMK) that I could realistically play without Zuni at higher torments, but that's much easier to mess up and you may be without fetishes for a minute or two.
If I ever find Hexing Pants, I would use Hexing with Ice Climbers. Even when they do fix fetish passive/active, I think this current setup is still better. Currently, I have 60% physical dmg, 40% dog dmg, 53% elite dmg, 40% dmg reduction from Serpent + Life Link, dmg reduction from 3 piece Aughild. Makes T6 a joke. I personally think this setup is better than Jade.

Phys or Fire?
And whats best, Garg damage, dog damage or fetish damage?
Do I run SMK?
Do I run 4 part Zuni?
Do I run Tall mans finger?
