so according to the new patch updates lashing tail kick gets a boost to 225% dmg and has no CD. and lethal decoy never had a CD and the damge has literally tripled to 330% dmg.
what my deal is, is that seven sided strike cost 3x the amount of lashing tail kick in spirit and has a 30 second CD. and wave of light cost double the spirit of lashing tail kick and has a 15 second CD. so as far as killing groups of mobs lashing tail + lethal decoy are far more effective in damage and in usage. you can use lashing tail 10x more and for less spirit. and decoy has no CD and cost less then SSS.
and if you get the passive to remove the CD's from SSS and WOL there spirit cost will be freakin 135 and 90. making SSS cost over FOUR times the amount of lashing tail. so for any build its a no brainer to dump SSS and get LTK. since its pointless to do boss runs anymore it further makes SSS less useful since SSS will hit INDIVIDUAL units for 210% each, while LTK and LD are aoe and have no mob limit although the mobs need to be grouped closer.
this is what it SEEMS like from the changes IMHO. what do you think?

I expect them to readjust spirit cost of Lashing Tail and Lethal Decoy to balance the new numbers. Anyways the buff to lethal decoy was much needed.
Overall i liked the changes. Obviously they nerfed generators and buffed most of the spenders. Skills that people didnt use much before got some much needed love, like Lethal Decoy and Tempest Rush. I liked the idea of Tempest Rush before, but it didnt seem to do enough damage. Now it deals a good deal of damage and still has good use. The result is more variety in spenders, and i think generators alike.
Btw i they removed the passive that removes cooldown, but increases spirit cost.
They reduced the spirit cost for Seven Sided Strike to 50. They also removed the cooldown from Wave of Light and gave it a massive damage boost- Pillar of the ancients now does 330% + 432%. So they didn't only get nerfed, they're just trying to make other skills just as good.
It's disappointing that there's no way around the SSS cooldown (the best we can do is Golden Rune is to drop it to 22 seconds). I'd rather have it do lower damage and be able to spam it. But Lashing Tail Kick, Lethal Decoy, and Tempest Rush all just became more desirable. And I love that Dashing Strike now deals some decent damage at 160%- zipping around is now a worthy way to spend spirit on the battlefield.
Overall I'm really excited about these changes for the monk. I can't wait to see the new skill mentioned in the IGN interview too.

oh wow i didnt see those changes, nice catch thank you. unfortunately they cut the damage of SSS in half... it did 210% dmg per strike now only 110%... so reducing the spirit really doesnt matter because its DEFINITELY not worth getting now unles they change the CD to <15 sec. and i like WOL now but its insane spirit cost.... and the fact that it only damages in a line erks me... but yea i love the other changes

FYI it (Pillar of the Ancients) was a bonus 500% before, so it's less now than it was.
