I'm not trying to shoot you down or anything, but by most standards MAG would not be considered an MMO. Most games classified as MMO support thousands of players and have a broader scope of gameplay. Comparing it to WoW is like comparing Rhode Island to China (geographically speaking, no offense RI).
Don't get me wrong, I'm not defending WoW, it's just not in the same league as far as popularity and I'm pretty sure they don't intend it to be. Having said that, my roommate just got MAG and said a lot of good things about it, I can't wait to play it.
MAG was a fun game but there wasn't a whole lot you could do as in character build wise. It's either you go machine gun, assault rifle or sniper and than you got the mismatched medic and other shit. They need a lot more guns.
MAG is awesome, but the cons are:
- Hard to hear other players with the mass chaos
- Long respawn times
- Gigantic maps take a long time to get into battle
- Nobody has microphones, people are retarded

The maps weren't that bad I mean you can just get parachuted in. And the microphone thing is sony's fault. If they did it like xbox everyone would have a mic but no one wants to spend 50 dollars for a bluetooth headset that in the end sucks and picks up every back ground noise possible.
I'm curious how the matchmaking works in that game. I'm primarily a PC user, though I have access to a PS3 so I'm interested in the game. If I find a few friends who are into the game, is it easy to play with them? I know other games like Demon's Souls (this is probably a unique case) are hard to coordinate coop games with.
You create a group/party type thing with your friends, and when the leader of that joins a game, you all get sucked in togther on same team. At least that's how it was on the beta.
I do have a question though. Do you think that M.A.G. will take over as the number 1 MMO game from WoW?
i thought there was a thread for this game before but can't find it so i started this one.
