Eh Local area network party, get people to show up play games have tournaments. We binged on a couple 24 port switches and a couple thousand feet worth of Cat5E cable otherwise known as Ethernet cables. Thats how we sorta set stuff up. Kind of in the process of building / obtaining stand alone servers for a couple games. We usually only throw these parties somewhere around every 2-3+ months depending on when we can get time to do stuff an get ahold of the facility we use.
So yes real lan where people meet up not stuff over proxy crap on the internet.
So you use actual cables. It's just that there are some LAN emulators that let you play LAN only games over the internet. Of course, you don't get the normal latency advantage from LAN, but that's a trade off.
It's just generally more fun to meet up somewhere with 20-40 people an totally have the excitement of raping them in something like CS:S and totally giving them a hard time. Not to mention the food an the little prizes we give away.
Hah, I wanted a machine that could run anything new and old
My video card is the OC2 factory overclocked one.
GDDR3 580 core clock 1700 memory clock.. Going to be installing a water cooling system sometime with-in the next few weeks and I'm going to overclock it up a bit more an bump up my cpu/fsb frequencies along with my ram too.
Obviously not the best card out there but it does make my stuff look nice an perty.
And not to mention the shared video memory from vista?... My video memory is a little over 1.4GB
Also note the "My Big F'n Gun" sticker. XD
Triple post ._. I'm bored.
Ello' there Equinox
So, on Pure Pwnage I've only seen up to like, episode 5 or something, the videos don't work on my comp.
Do you use real LAN or stuff like Hamachi?
So yes real lan where people meet up not stuff over proxy crap on the internet.
Holy fucking CHRIST.
Mines at 256 clocked to 512...
It's the decisions you make when you have no time to make them that define who you are.
