There was also a Deckard Cain quote for the first Diablo game. And there was a quote for Starcraft. Think maybe they might be using Cain twice, so they can hit us with a new Cain quote for D3?

They used Cain twice because there were two diablo games. Starcraft had 1 so they can't use two quotes. There are no secret clues.

But why use Cain twice? They could have used ANY other Diablo character's words, but they used Cain both times. I'm not trying to theorize about any hidden messages, but if they WERE announcing D3, it would be conventient to set it up so that all the Diablo games would have quotes from the same person.

Meh, Cain is really the only character that exists in both games (and isn't corrupted). He also plays an important role and is probably the most memorable.
It's been said that D3 will have the battle brought to the gates of heaven. I've always thought it would be cool if Cain's true identity is revealed as being an angel or seraphim in disguise. He seems to fit the profile...

In many stories between God and the devil God cannot directly intervene with the lives of humans but can influence them. Imagine if that were the case with D3? He represents himself as a kind elderly man who's knowledgeable about the devil and all his cohorts, and also motives and assists those in their plight to destroy evil. It just might work!
Hi guys.. just read thru all the posts.. and wonder why no one else thought what i did.. well here goes..
My opinion is.. Blizz is smart enough not to try to create/release diablo3 at the moment.. as Hellgates london is coming.. and they were the original ppl behind diablo.. i think (again my opinion) is that blizzard will be smart enough to wait & see what Hellgate london has to offer or in the future, had offered, and base on that benchmark.. to develop and create a much better Diablo3. Trying to create a Game (diablo3) against the original creator's game would be abit dumb i guess. I think a company thats as big as blizz don't blindly go ahead with projects without looking at their competitors.
But hey its only 1 mans opinion.
For the record, even thou thinking like this. Theres still the idealise side of me wishing it was D3 coming
PS: Sorry for my bad english , as its not my first language.
in the Diablo images theres a Diablo wallpaper faded on the background. In the Starcraft one its a wallpaper with a Hydralisk. I'm pretty sure it doesnt have anything to do with the game to be announced (after days and theories that we've seen). Blizzard knows it well and made these up to keep us busy.
For analyzing images, you guys aren't very observant.
If you look at all the backgrounds, you will see that the pattern is mirrored. The edges are mirrored while the middle contains a image from the game series.
Whoever circled the top right "face" is wrong because there is a mirrored "face" in the other corner. Also, the "face" is not a face.
i hope that too but they only mentioned one title, not two. If they announce a second game this year its most likely going to happen in BlizzCon 2007 but we still got time to that. Bit less than 3 days now for the confirmed announcement!
okay now im starting to think that there are clues...
the same backround is there from last diablo with the claw marks
and they used a quote from cain "stay awhile and listen!"
like we should listen for a new diablo announcement
EDIT: wilimye beat me to it
Stay awhile and listen was the name of the Spoof song that they made. Its the most catchy phrase with Diablo 2. Nothing to do with Diablo itself, more of a representation of the game.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
"Pking in Softcore, is like two deaf kids yelling at each other."
it was a line used by Cain in both Diablo games. Whenever i hear that, i'm looking for Cain
Anyway, we cant find anything for sure from the teaser. Its almost certain that theres nothing hidden there that relates with the upcoming release. We'll only know 3 days from now.
If they are in fact updating the graphic at 3am EST, I'm curious if they'll do the same on Sat. morning, or if they'll coincide it with the actual announcement at WWI? Hopefully we don't have to wait too long!
truest of trues.
yet... remember starcraft ghost? anyways, that would never happen to diablo.
well... let's keep our hopes up, the day is near. well, almost.

They don't need to...they do it naturally whether they like it or not.

Lol. Cain = God. Now that would be a twist!

it's still their and i don't think it's a face, i think it's part of a banner. and it looks like there is writting on it.
The moon by day, and the sun by night.
Blind woman, deaf man, jackdaw fool.

(And why did I lose my account? Haven't signed in for over an year though...)
EDIT: They may just be the game's logos there. The planet with the rising sun-thing is Starcraft's and Diablo's is, well, Diablo.
