I just finished reading Legacy of Blood one of the diablo novels. It was pretty ballin awesome. good well written story and interesting how it fits right into the lore of the games. definitely suggest reading it if you haven't already
no, just found legacy of blood at a local book resale shop. i plan on reading all of them. i don't know whether or not to continue and read the two books succeeding legacy of blood or read all the sin war books first. what do you suggest?
Personally, I could never get past the first 200 pages of the Sin War: Birthright. The other four books were amazing though.
I suggest you pick up The Moon of the Spider for sure as it will/may have some impact lorewise in diablo 3 and is very interesting. . . Corpse Explosion FTW!!!
I suggest you read the sticky thread Diablo Books Chronological Order first, sin war trilogy took place a couple thousand years ago, you should start with it.
yeah, i know the order of the books, but didn't know if i should just continue from where i started or go back and read sin war. i'll probably read kingdom of shadow and moon of the spider next since its going to lead more into the lore of d3.
The Sin War will also have a lot to do with DIII. It was kind of written specifically for DIII as a way to better establish the world of Sanctuary. Also it is where you can read all about the Triune, which seem to be returning for DIII if you look at all the monster concept art.
And yeah, Kingdom of Shadow and Moon of the Spider will be helpful too. They could be the most directly related.
I've been wondering if the following books after The Sin War Trilogy were connected to in anyway. I'm glad that Astrogha comes back in Moon of the Spider because it went unanswered as to where Astrogha went after escaping Lilith.
What I want to know from someone is when did the pact made between Mephisto and The Angiris Council at the end of The Veiled Prophet first break? Also, did they ever end up making a seperate pact dealing with the Worldstone which is, again, something they hint to at the end of The Veiled Prophet.

Well as far as I remember, there nothing in the books about it. The other books (excluding Moon of the Spider) were all written before the Sin War trilogy, and so obviously contain no info from those books.
PlugY for Diablo II allows you to reset skills and stats, transfer items between characters in singleplayer, obtain all ladder runewords and do all Uberquests while offline. It is the only way to do all of the above. Please use it.

Oh I see now. I didn't realize that the others were written before hand.
You mean the pact with Mephisto leaving Sanctuary alone in return for Inarius or am I misremembering that? I'd say it was broke during the Dark Exile when they came to Sanctuary.

So yeah, just leave The Black Road until last.
Sinwar, Kingdom of Shadow, Moon of the Spider
Reason: Demon Astrogha first appeared in Sinwar. Then a couple thousand years later in Moon of the Spider.
