Matt Uelmen, composer of the Diablo series, is currently working on Torchlight by Runic Games, and recently sat down with Original Sound Version to talk about his work on the soundtrack:
He includes lots of references to his work on Diablo, and even discusses where instruments used on Torchlight were used throughout the Diablo series. Torchlight is out at the end of the month, and has 40 minutes of new music by him.
I have to say that although Torchlight looks a little less pretty or gritty than I would hope to find in an Action RPG (if that is the correct genre), I'm afraid that I will have to download it just to listen to the music.
As I read the linked article I was starting to get bummed out that I put down WoW after my 90 pre-paid days (game + 60 day timecard, I realize this is totally irrelevant but whatever) were up such that I never got to hear the end-of-the-game music as described in the article.
Also somewhat unrelated, anyone know how I could get Pandora to play me music that is 'like' Matt Uelmen's work?

Another great article with Uelman. This one even has some drama in it, as Matt talks about the split of Blizzard North from his perspective
