Overall, the entire pallet is a bit grey. You could use this to your advantage by pushing the warm red or purple lights. Especially on the shadow side of the face. I think it will help identify the form a bit more.
The composition is rather dynamic and well done. And frankly it's making me rethink the composition for the one I intend on doing.
I would suggest maybe refining some of the drawing. Some of the perspective on the armor is a BIT off. For instance, the top of the breast plate runs along the horizontal axis of the piece. However, look at the Barb, he's not facing directly at the viewer so his right side is receding. This would cause a slanted angle for that breast plate, not a directly horizontal one.
The proportions of the armor could use some work. The shoulder pads seem small and raised too high for where the actual shoulder would fit in.
I think that's the main stuff that jumps out of me. Good luck! Hopefully I'll have time to come up with something too.

He is killing that Pit Viper, right? And not just hanging out with it? There's something about him that looks kind of young in the face for maybe how old he seems otherwise. I like the overall tone of it though. It's really good work.
"I'm just getting started. I'm gonna pull the whole thing down. I gonna bring the whole fuckin' diseased, corrupt temple down on your heads. It's gonna be Biblical."

well with that terminology i say you have some art background.
Sweet picture btw, and good luck
my only suggestion is the triangle on the shoulder, looks very out of place. The intensity of it as opposed to the rest of the piece draws my eye right to it every time.
And this is why I get outside opinions. You guys are great! Yes to almost all critiques, especially regarding proportions. Umpa, those are spot on observations. So easy easy to get focused on other aspects and miss others entirely. Thank you all! Sitting at around....hmmmm.10-15 hours so far?
Hey do you guys know if we can have multiple entries? Pretty sure I remember it being said we could. Have a WD and Wiz in the works as well.
Update. Decided against the pit viper. Siaynoq got me thinking that it didn't seem like it looked, well, dead enough. Looked more like maybe it was taking a nap. Figured the head of the Skeleton King would look a little better. So backtracked a bit and hopefully should finish up tomorrow! Hope you guys enjoy and once again, I really do appreciate your comments.
And calling it done. Several changes made along the way, but just seems to be the way I work best. Thanks again for everyone's feedback. On to the next!
You're way better off with the green glow. You need to balance the color. If you leave it with the violet hue for glow, the contrast is defeated and the viewer never really gets to rest their eye from the warm colors.
The piece as a whole has a low saturated warm orange feel. By making the energy a deeper warm violet, it doesn't really compliment the overall pallet very well.
A cool green or blue energy will compliment the piece better.
So, keep the piece warm as it is in the most updated version, but make the glow green. Where the face is hit by the strong warm light you don't need any of the green tent that is present in the one that does have the green glow.
It looks like you may be using auto adjust features and in this instance it might be a good idea not to. Having that balance of warm and cool will help it.

A good way to judge it is to look at the hot spots: The light on the cheek and the light on the sword.
The viewer will be most drawn to these areas. If they are both warm or cool it won't work as well if they were warm and cool or complimented.
It's really nice btw.
