Carloseus and I would like to apologise for the lengthy time it has taken us to post our Pit Fight, this is due in part to the fact we came to the conclusion that, going post for post, can lead to flaming, andwhile a mod could just delete it, its seems a waste of a moderators time, so instead we got together and worked thru it, making it more epic and hopefully enjoyable.
we both felt we own it to you to not end up with 20 or so post of, "i slice you and you bleed" then wait for a reply "nah ah because i block you and cut for face" then wait for the reply "dude my sword is better than yours you couldnt block shit so dont even try"
while not every fight would go down that road i can guarantee at least one would, and i dont want to read shit like that, do you?
ok we been doing some reviving of the Pit fighting rules, this is what we have so far.
1. You do not talk about 'Pit Fighting'. 2. You do not talk about 'Pit Fighting'. 3. When someone yells "Stop" or goes limp, or admits defeat, the fight is over. 4. Fights end when one combatant defeats the other, in the event of a tie, the winner is chosen by a panel of judges, based on his skill and attacks 5. Only two men to a fight and the use of summoning spells are forbidden. 6. One fight at a time. 7. No breastplates, no boots. 8. The use of innate abilities is permitted 9. The use of buff spells are allowed 10. The use of spells are permitted so long as they are not over Mage level 5 and Priest level 5 (for list of spells see attachment below) 11. The use of skills are permitted so long as they are not over R. level 24 (for list of skills see attachment below) 12. No fighter can be challenged more than once in one day, (the spirit is willing but the flesh is spongy and bruised).
Note: -Fights are unarmed combat, armed combat, and arcane combat, or a mixture if both combatants agree
If anyone have anything to add ill be sure to add it.

-Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.
The earthly ground of the pit is awash with the blood of previous fighters, several men in brown hooded cloaks look into the ring from the outside, ready to drag out the next corpse, while onlookers scream and shout as the two combatants enter the ring.
Both the combatants kneel and speak a short prayer, then rise and assume battle stances, ready to begin. Carloseus demands that Elfen Lied, who is merely resting his Bastard Sword on his shoulder ready himself, but Elfen Lied, unfazed by Carloseus’ demands, entices Carloseus to fight. Gripping the hilt of his sword tightly, and bellowing a battle cry, Carloseus charges towards Elfen Lied, who has not moved or changed position since entering the ring. With a large arced attack Carloseus swings his sword to attempt a clean decapitation, Elfen Lied swiftly blocks the attack by swinging his massive sword around his head, their two swords clash, the sound and sight of sparks electrifies the already invigorated crowd.
For the next few seconds the sound of metal clinging echoes throughout the large stone room. Each combatant’s blow is met with a counter measure; no one seems to have a clear advantage over the other. Elfen Lied gives an evil grin as if to suggest that he had been holding back then entire time, he dodges a blow from Carloseus and replies with a massive blow that flung him backwards onto the ground. Quickly rising to his feet, Carloseus counters Elfen Lied’s next attack, but he seems to be struggling to hold him back.
Rolling out to the right Carloseus attempt to strike again but despite the impressive size of Elfen Lied’s sword he is able to counter with another heavy blow sending Carloseus to the ground. Again the crowd goes wild, yet it seems for the second time Elfen Lied has had Carloseus on the ground yet not delivered a killing blow. Again rising to his feet Carloseus swings at Elfen Lied, severing his arm between the elbow and wrist. Thinking he has a clear advantage now as Elfen Lied can no long use both hands to swing his sword. Carloseus along with the crowd as shocked to see the severed arm on the lying on the ground seemingly disappear and reappear, once again attached to Elfen Lied’s Body.
Carloseus looks on, surprised but with a hint of realization in his eyes. He realizes that he can use his other powers to fight. He forms a fist with his left hand, and points it at a space to his left. two shadows forms and resembles Carloseus, only darkened and a silver ring where Carloseus' black ring is. The crowd awes, and prepares for a more intense fight.
Carloseus and his two shadow clones attack, attempting to bring Elfen Lied between them, where they would be able to pressure and break him. Elfen Lied is not at all dispeared by now being somewhat outnumbered as Carloseus and his newly created allies charge at him. Dispite the fact he is now effectively fighting three challenges at the same time, Elfen Lied seems to be extremelt capable of holding his own. With a combined attack Caloseus and his clones cause Elfen Lied to slide a short distance backward, but Elfen Lied simply grins. In the middle of his forehead a third eye appears to open and blink. This technique is commonly referred to as the "true sight" technique, it reveals truths to the user. With the use of this technique, Elfen Lied quickly dispatches the clones.
Carloseus is once again left to face Elfen Lied alone, He charges, and is caught up in another impressive display of swordmenship between the combatants. but this time it seems Elfen Lied is clearly the better of the two. In a moment of prehaps overconfidence on Carloseus' part, Elfen Lied cleanly slices off Carloseus' left arm and the should joint. Now left with only one arm to use to block Elfen Lied's massive sword, Carloseus is rattled at every clashing of swords. With another powerful attack Carloseus' other arm is swifty severed at the shoulder joint, but he refuses to give up.
In a final act of desperation Carloseus charges at Elfen Lied, picking up a sword from a previous fight in his mouth. At the last second Elfen Lied swings his massive sword knocking the sword out of Carloseus' mouth. Carloseus now stand mere inches away from Elfen Lied, who is just standing there grimacing evily. Unable to continue, Carloseus, is forced to honourable admit defeat, he has been bested.
but luckily there are some very well train priests amon the ranks of Silversurfnstudism, so fortunately Carloseus is nto with his arms for very long.

go easy on the healers, we need them for the battles against our enemies
a bit from monty python it seemed... "tiss only a flesh wound"
actually its more Hellsing-esque than monty python-esque. going the holy grail route seemed alittle over the top and comedic, not something we wanted to do, so we went with the more Hellsing episode 7-esque fight.
