Well, the question wasn't "high school math vs high school French", it was "Math" vs "French". And, yes, there is a much longer road to go in studing Math than in studying French. Otherwise, it really depends on how hard or easy the actual class is, whether or not you got Honors/AP/CP/Tech class so I really have no idea what classes you are taking but generally Math is harder than Language, any language.
Winston, you beat me, grr...

Ok, how can you improve in Starcraft? Make more guys quicker or someting?
Make use of all your resources quickly and efficiently (macro), calculate the exact number and type of guys at the given moment, be able to control (micro) guys carefuly so that they won't just die from one reaver shot, decide when to go to some certain level of upgrades, know when to explore base and explore army, be able to calculate current enemy army without seeing it, predicting expansion times and exploring them and destroying them in time, expanding on your own in the right places and expanding only at times when you are going later game... SC is not a defined game, it's not "do this". Half the time I don't understand wtf am I supposed to do at this or that moment, should I add lings or should I keep doing hydras or should I go Lair or maybe I need defilers vs all those goons...
GH, tho, is pressing certain buttons in specific order, known, set order. Yes, the real guitar is kinda same, but, in the real guitar, one wrong movement with the finger, even if you are on the right fret, will screw up the sound. In GH, all you do is press a fret. In a combo with some other fret.

Quite honestly, you've lost all my respect for you. I don't know if you care, but I'm telling you.
I don't lose respect for people so quickly, but it is your choice, I guess.

Not necessarily. There's also studying the origin of the language, how it changed over time and that kind of stuff. It takes alot of analyzing. So, that could be considered equal with a doctorate in math.
-_-; you are over-analyzing way too much Chaos...
Okay, first of all, the similar part is where both of the games are player-interactive. The similarity is hard to explain >_>; You could say both games consists of songs, and for each songs you need to match up the correct type/number of notes/steps. It really doesnt matter if there are different songs.
@Darknessangel - !!!!>>>>>!------**OMG not you again...**------!<<<<<!!!!
for Guitar Hero you use a Guitar, with 5 keys you hold down and then you push down on this thingy. So to get an orange thing, you hit the orange button and push down on this little black swith thingy where you would normally use your pick to play guitar... (lol, don't know the names of things.)
With DDR, you have this floor pad, 4 arrows (up down left right) and then stamp on the right arrow at the right time with your feet and there are excellents, perfects, goods, and etc., and they are different songs.
Over analysing? I said the big difference, then the little differences. Yes I know they're player-interactive. But they are quite different in the ways that they are. And I never said the games are different because of the songs, that was just a really really small added thing.

You think you have to be getting a PhD in math in order to be doing real or considerably difficult math? And that's not even the point. Your comparisons are flawed just because different types of learners are more predisposed towards other subjects than some. But since this is grossly off topic anyway, I'll just stop right there.

by stating " and they are different songs " , you automatically added that statement as a reason to support your judgement.
care to explain how they are different? aside from that fact that one is a guitar the other one is a sensor pad? Even though one game uses your fingers and upper body, and the other uses your feet and lower body, doesnt mean its completely different. They all contain 'keys' to press for the right moments.
Its like saying, Heaven and Hell are completely different because( im using the 'common' way people see them), one side has pure evil, demons, etc. and the other side has angelic features and redemption. But both sides are religous and pertaining to the supernatural...
That's like saying FF and Dragon Quest are nothing alike. DDR and GH are EXACTLY the same, with differant controllers. Sure, it may not have "Perfects" in GH, and it may have differant buttons, but that's like having Excalibur in FF and Omega Blade in Dragon Quest.
Like I said again, gameplay is different. Gameplay = the guitar and the floor pad pretty much, though normally it's whats inside the GAME. But there isn't really gameplay inside the game

Indeed. I have to try that, although I need another PS2. You COULD do what I tried, play Difficult on DDR with the controller and Basic on the mat simultaneously. Tough.
Wait, wouldn't you need 2 TVs as well? Memorization, anyone?

Nah, gameplay is basically the same. Press/jump on buttons at the appropriate time. Same thing. Only a different controller.
I'd imagine I wouldn't get as tired playing Guitar Hero on Expert as I would DDR on Expert or whatever. So to say they are the same is weird.
I hate anyone that says they are good at a sports game and they arent good at that sport in real life. That sounds ridiculous but that's what someone said earlier about the guitar and the Guitar Hero. Which is ludicrous because if the game was the same as the real thing, then it wouldn't be a game.
I say yay just cuz the game was fun for me. If i wanted to learn to play guitar I would go get a guitar, not a game.
