"Evil palladian" I'm pretty sure that's a contradiction.
"In addition, what about having parts were you can travel through water?" That would be kind of cool. Kind of.
"male & female characters" I see no point...Part of Diablo is the lack of pre-game customability and it's all in-game customizing. As well, I'm pretty sure a female barbarian would make me puke.
"Shamans: one with nature, call upon animal spirits" Is that not a druid?...

ok evil pally-meaning opposite of what the paladin background is. like instead of praising angels they praise demons or something similar.
ok yes a female barb would be bad. also a male amazon wouldnt make sense. i meant to say the classes that would make sense to change class gender. i would think that would be obvious.

Uh...I don't know. Maybe Lazarus was kind of like that, I suppose.

Yea, but when you make up excuses for the different gender counter parts, it becomes dumb.
I'm a bit indifferent about most of it. Your ideas might need a little more polishing, but it's a decent start.
Though, I will say that I've always been a fan of gender options in video games. I like to play female characters most of the time, so when I sit down to a game, I'm generally not happy to find that the only female characters available are weak little healers or mages.
Understandably, some classes couldn't have a gender option (Amazons being female warriors, for an example), but others could. Take the Paladin, for example. During Act II, it was made pretty obvious that there weren't just male Paladins; Fara tells us that she was trained as one long ago, as well. And though Asheara in Act III doesn't really say anything about it, she's probably as tough as the mercenaries she handles.
So, yeah. Sometimes it'd just be nice to be a female character and do some damage with a sword, instead of hanging out in the back being useless.
Why didn't you put the thread into the Diablo section?
ya but just saying female barbarian seems a little strange when you here it. well now that i actually said it out loud doesnt sound that bad. but when you think about hstory of barbarians it wouldnt fit. oh and i guess i wasnt thinking like mostly do with thinks when putting this in diablo thread.
Amazon really means a female warrior. Usually, a very brutal female warrior. Barbarians are brutal.
Now, if Blizzard has some secondhand version where they have an island filled with male barbarians who reproduce via germaphrodism and an island filled with female amazons who reproduce using animals, there is nothing I can say...
What would you call the males in the Amazon islands? "Amazon males" doesnt sound right. Like the word Barbarian and Necromancer the word Amazon is probably used more from outsiders so... Barbarians have tribes so I guess Amazons have tribes too
The word document is short enough to post in the first post
And
ya i guess i could have put it into the post. and the fighting styles. i guess i was thinking about diablo 1 where the warrior punched, rouge kicked and sorcerer chopped i think. just making a little more depth in that.
Just merge the Amazons and Barbarians into one class. (Barbs as the male option, Zons as the female). Call them like Tribal Warriors or something like that (but better, my mind is kinda turned off now).

Still seems very druidy, maybe some paladin mixed in.
The thing is, the moment it becomes cliche and things are just being filled in for little purpose it becomes stupid.
Why didn't you put the thread into the Diablo section?
You could help him out by explaining. Puke whorester of the god.
It's the decisions you make when you have no time to make them that define who you are.
Good enough for me!

I believe it's liable.
