This thread is here to discuss our favorite fighting games. The poll is to figure out how many of us that were, in our opinions, good players of whichever fighting game we were part of and got destroyed by the 8 year old of doom. He/She who came to the game with one thought in mind. I will push as many random buttons as fast as I possibly can, and I will win. The gods of gaming themselves have blessed these children and given them the gift of i can do moves that don't really exist in the game and if they do then I can spam them on you and you will die.
My Favorite Fighting Game of all time is still Street Fighter 2. Followed secondly by Soul Calibur/Blade, and Mortal Kombat a close third.

Pushing random buttons is too easy to defend against. I saw plenty of people who came to me and said "hey, you should just press all the buttons quick as hell!" I never cared. I just kept defending with my round shield, laughing at them "come and get me, you don't know any combos that I can't defend against!".
I didn't mean that you get defeated by it consistantly. I meant that you play them the first time and they skunk you because you are so "high and mighty" in the game and are going to smash them or because you give them a chance... no the game gods did it that's all there is to it.

I only got defeated after 50 fights in a row where I just got tired and then I could get defeated by basically anyone... but until that it was a problem. And button mashing didn't help them. They only way to crash me was special defensless moves. And nobody knew them...
Yea a 50 count win streak can get it to where you are ready to give someone else the controls and let a couple other people duke it out for a while so you can have a snack, drink a coke whatever then come back half an hour later and reclaim it.

Yep... but it was like 12 am I really wanted to go to bed but new people kept coming in... i just lost to like everyone and cryied and then smashed them all the next day...
LOL sounds like some of the video game parties I had as a young man. It was a lot of fun to beat my friends sensless at their own games most of the time. I didn't own many but I knew how to play them because I had so many friends that owned them.

Somebody played Street Fighter? There was a place near my house which let us play 10 minutes for 1 coin exact.

The only fighting game I ever played half-seriously was Soul Calibur 2, and I think I was decent at it. Not by any means great, but better than some random button-mashing kid. At least with Spawn, Necrid and Nightmare
PlugY for Diablo II allows you to reset skills and stats, transfer items between characters in singleplayer, obtain all ladder runewords and do all Uberquests while offline. It is the only way to do all of the above. Please use it.
