... Heres a downer, not diablo related, but nontheless, a downer.
I'm eating freezerburnt, microwaved corndogs right now, without mustard, and with a side of doritos and water.
.... I'm living the life of luxury, man.
edit: AND one of them has just been dropped on the floor..
another edit: Aaand I just spilled ketchup all over my crotch, today sucks.
Fucking corndog misadventures :(.

The greatest negative thought for me is that diablo 3 is not gonna come out till 2010 thats a truly-ruly downer!!!
Lol, "truly-ruly"? You get some +rep for that!
One of my hamsters got malled by a cat. I was pretty upset about that. The upside is, though, that I might be getting myself a blueberry hammy now
Your hamsters are getting killed left right and center?
Didn't you just recently have a few hamsters killed?
Negative thoughts? um... Diablo 3 will take so long to be released that I will no longer be the care-free child with heaps of time on his hands anymore... So I wont be able to play it much

Yeah. I had a mother and a father hamster, and they had some little ones, and then, well.... We have two cats. It wasn't pretty.

That will probably happen to all of us. Then we'll look to the younger generation and get to hear them all enthusiastic and such like we were when we were in their position. Ah, the memories!

Most horrifying thing to witness is when they eat their babies.
My friend had a bunch of hamsters, and they just kept screwing, and she never separated the parents from the babies...
It caused some lasting trauma for both of us :/
Haha, yeah, we're all going to be able to look at the younger generation and remember what fun we had with Diablo ^^. I'm definitely forcing my children to play the diablo series, even if they've got homework/sleep/life to catch up on, they're getting duct taped to a chair till' they finish act 3.

Hamsters eat their own babies? That doesn't even make sense
Quote from Yahoo answers »
they can eat their babies for several reasons.
1. They feel threatened and the only way they know to survive is to eat the babies. When I bred hamsters I would throw a little dish towel over half of the cage so that they had their area of privacy. Do not handle them too much ... they will feel threatened and eat their babies.
2. They can feel threatened by several different ways
a. If the nest is disturbed they will feel threatened. If it is a first litter they may move the babies from one corner to another for the first couple of days .. this is normal. Do not attempt to clean the cage. at this point.
b. If they feel they do not have a hiding place they will feel threatened then eat their young.
C. If the male is left in there he will eat the young .. to eliminate competition for food
D. IF the mothers diet is inadequate she will eat the young to make milk for some of the stronger ones.
Hamsters are mammals... but this sounds like reptilian behavior
The downer is that you know theres not going to be an update but theres that voice in your head saying "what if.."
FINALLY SOMEONE UNDERSTANDS! hahaha

Nah, you only need to separate the father. They need the mother for milk. So I took the father out and put him in one of my old cages. And then one day when I left for school I forgot to close my room door- I came home and there were little hamster pieces all over the kitchen floor. Mass genocide ftl. It was somewhat disconcerting.

If I had to guess, it might be related to their brain size/development. I'm fairly sure most mammals, in general, have more developed brains than most other creatures. In the case of hamsters and most small rodents, it might be because their brains are as big as reptiles', and so they behave similarly in some cases? That's interesting to think about.
One day it was really hot so they all died... from the heat!... i saw them all lying on their backs, dead... 21 hamsters!!! AHHHHHHHH
Although less likely, dogs have been known to eat or just kill their babies also... usually because something wrong with the baby anyway or the dogs under stress
I wonder if Human beings ever get the urge to eat their own babies under stressful situations. Stress causes mothers to neglect, abuse, sell or abandon their babies but eating? That would be messed up
Sorry for putting the thread off topic
Negative thoughts? the Diablo 3 addiction will be no where as long lasting as the Diablo 2 one
Back when my dog was old and dying and my dad wasn't paying him much attention. My dog had given me a 'kill me' look. From that day on I had strong urges to chop his head off with my sword. I had come to the point of wanting to chop his head off, not just because of the look... but because my dad refused to put him down. I resisted the urge, and thankfully he died on his own. But I felt so bad about it that I just wanted to remove his head so his needless suffering would end. I didn't care too much if the blood would stain the floor, or if I was accused of abuse. It was my childhood dog, and he did not deserve to just lay around and rot. When he was paralyzed, I was relieved. I knew his death was painless.

I bought 2 hamsters a few years ago, 1 male 1 female. They multiplied in a month LOL they became 21 hamsters!
We had a big cage and we used to leave it outside on the balcony cuz the urine of 21 hamsters doesn't smell that good inside your house.

Lol... but seriously it was crazy.
