Should have ever existed religions...? This is the question without answer. If it is no, there is still science, but you still have to answer to the eternal question: Why?
If it is yes, why again? why again has it been twisted like this only some centuries ago? Yes, it is a moral code. Some have learnt good from it.
I am Christian, but i do not know if i should. I trust some of Christianity but, once again, i can't believe enough to ask me these questions. Why, if it was the wrong one? If there was a scientific reason? Only death can tell us, and death can't tell the others who still live.
Oh and.. some are
Why again should we start a heinous debate on this if we can't answer correctly? Only your opinion about religion is asked here in this thread. Please stay in the topic ^^

Virtues that I do not agree with. Forcing women to marry men that rape them? Yea, no. Sorry, not a fan of things like that.

"to the worm in horseradish, the world is horseradish."
Fanatics are also the ones that get on the media and get there own tv shows *coughBillO'Riellycough*. The normal people are quiet, and often simply lead by said fanatics.
Thankfully most people have started to move away from the fanatics... But Bill O'Riley is not who I think of.... I think of maybe Jerry Falwell... or anyone that was on that god awful channel that asked for donations all the time.

Finally joined the forum !
I wanted to throw in my 2 cents.
I'm defineately on the fence when it comes to religion. I'm open to the concept of a higher power, but i don't beleive in organized religion.
Organized religion has done more bad than good in the world, while the idea of god has helped many people get through life, even if his existence is questionable.
About the whole "world created in 6 days" thing, that's bull in my opinoin.
As for God in the diablo universe, I doubt that he will be included. That would be a subject that Blizz would stay the hell away from. It would be quite interesting if he was put into the game however, I would really like to see how they would fit him into the game, as well as how they thought he looks. Knowing blizzard he would have some badass armor on..maybe a hammer the size of a small child.

"One in every 10 million people can potentially have a headache from this pill." God forbid she is the 0.000000001% of having a headache.
I was debating whether or not I should post this thread, for the topic I would like to discuss is sensitive to most. The idea came to me whilst interacting with the thread regarding questions about Diablo lore, where I began to wonder to myself, "Where is God in the Diablo Universe?" Please, if I am breaking any sort of forum rules by submitting a thread of this genre, close it immediately and assess me the proper infractions. Thank you.
First of all, I would like to get an idea of what each of you (who are willing to share) believe about the concept of/entity God.
Do you believe in Him?
If so, describe who you believe He is and why?
If not, why do you disagree with the notion?
I will be upfront and honest; it is not my intention to trick anyone here. My personal motivation behind creating this thread is not to simply inform or receive feedback, but that God would use me to "spread the fragrance of the knowledge of Him everywhere." (2 Corinthians 2:14). I want to open up a line of communication between myself and anyone who is especially interested in a dialogue concerning Christianity. If you have questions about God, angels, fate, Jesus Christ, the Bible, or any other related topic, I desire to help address them. I admit that I do not have an answer to every question and issue you may raise, but I will certainly do my best to join you in your search for a solution - either through this medium or in private.
So yes, I have a specific set of beliefs that I myself adhere to and to which my soul is supported by. And yes, I would be overjoyed if the God I believe in is pleased to use this thread to draw even one person closer to Himself. Even in light of this inescapable reality, I will strive to be respectful and encouraging, not overbearing and resentful.
Many have been harmed in various ways by the powers and rhetoric that are represented by the institution of Religion. I acknowledge this, and would kindly ask any that wish to participate in this discussion to do so in a way that honors others and their opinions. If you do not feel you can get involved in this type of discussion without letting your emotions get the best of you, I would dissuade you from entering in.
With that said, feel free to post what you are comfortable sharing with us.
(If you have a specific question you would like addressed, please change the color of your question to yellow. This will help me sort through the thread and enable me to answer in a timely manner.)
Let the conversation commence.
*UPDATE #1*
I will respond to what you guys say; I will give a reaction to each comment; I will assume you are open to discussing each of our opinions (feel free to do the same to me!). If you are not interested in a discussion, let me know so I do not put you in the awkward position of having to respond back to me when you were not initially seeking a dialogue, but simply stating your view. With that said, please be patient if you are looking for a quick response from me - I may not always be available to check the forum frequently. However, I promise you I will make an honest effort to speak to everyone who wishes to talk about it.
At the same time, I would encourage you to take part in the ongoing conversation, although it is by no means a requirement to participate in this thread.
*UPDATE #2*
This is not necessarily a thread to debate or try to prove to each other why we are of the right opinion and the other person is in the wrong; if you are looking for someone to argue with and triumph over, you may be disappointed. I do not see this talk as something to "win" or "lose," but a place to share and bounce around the spiritual ideas this community has.
got isnt in the diablo universe because god doesnt exist... lulz... well idk because diablo is fuckin awesome ass game... dont ruin it by adding god i mean look what god has got us into.... an oil crusade... just what we need more war
i am totally with the thread creator
and i have only one thing to say about god and the universe
0 + 0=0
you need something or someONE to start everything
try and deny that!
i am a true believer in intelligent design
if you look at almost every scientific fact, it can be backed up by the man upstairs..
hence, the earth is now 7 billion years old... maybe thats what a day is to god?
honestly i dont blame god for this, that would be like just blaming him again for your problems. i blame the people damnit, the ones for use religion for personal game, or a way to make a arguement. It was used as a reason for 9/11 it was used as a reason for the crusades.
thats the problem with inteligent design... u dont need someone to start the spark... its a random event... carbon molecules and something else randomly combined together and created the first organisims which fed on other organisms and bred/multiplied/reproduced to grow bigger and eventually evolve all the way to what/were we are today.
ur looking at it in too much of a non scientific light to try and prove your point.... the problem is that its not zero plus zero... its matter-anti matter... and it turns out there there is more matter than anti matter which is what we are all created from
exactly, you should never take that book seriously. its a book of morals! its a story book to show you how you should act!
If you need a book to tell you how to live...
I won't go there...
But yea, just listen to your heart...

If a man is caught in the act of raping a young woman who is not engaged, he must pay fifty pieces of silver to her father. Then he must marry the young woman because he violated her, and he will never be allowed to divorce her.
Sorry, that one verse just really stuck out, and I doubt I will forget it soon...

Bill may not be the best example, but he is a fanatic none-the-less. Also, all of Fox News is employed with fanatics, so... (I know this because my father watches it. *Hangs his head in shame.*
Though my personal belief is that god had some involvment, everything to the best of the worlds knowldege can be explained about the universe. The whole thing about religion is that you cant prove it, it's the believing is what matters, though to go the the higher place you should olny have to be a good person.
i dont get it either... the bible is a ficticious childrens book written long ago to explain to young children and give "meaning" to their lives and it ended up being blown out of proportion by the catholic church...when it comes down to it... we are like the other millions of species on this planet... we live... breed... and die... its natural

The problem is religion plays too much of a issue then it was meant too, it was meant to make humans better humans, and eathier throguh cooruption or plain lies it has been warped into a movement. I mean just look at the christian radicals who protested outside a funeral of a dead soilder saying "thank god for dead soilders in iraq, stop the gays"
It's turned into scapgoat for someones hate, to abuse it as to put your own beliefs outside of religion into other's lives. I wont call myself religious, but i believe in god, and too be honest i dont think this is what he, she, or what ever god is, had in mind.
ok fyi religion plays a small role in todays culture compared to years ago when europeans brought over monks to convert native americans to christianity they sent them to africa to do the same thing... and asia... oh and south america .... u get my drift... and no its not what he had in mind... because he doesnt exist
