Not 100% on what side scrolling means but alrighty then.. Anywho, I played Duke Nukem 3D on the computer. I don't remember if I ever played the first ones but god knows. Me and my dad have a library of games we used to play.
I believe I was a sophomore in high school when that game first came out. That was like 1996 I think and I was like 16 years old. Blimey, that was a long time ago. I remember first playing it on our computer that had only four megs of RAM and it was kind of choppy, but then my dad upgraded my computer to eight megs and then the game ran beautifully after that.

I played that one too, but the side scroller were better I think.
Wow Siaynoq, you were older then what I am at the moment when you first played Diablo.:(
Its amazing how many of us have parents who don't mind or don't care about the games. I mean, Diablo is a Rated M game and they bought it for me just because it looked cool. They didn't even read the rating.
And look at us now! We all grew up with Diablo and killing and hacking and we don't go out with swords to manslay at school (though we may want to kill a jerk or whore every now and then). Just goes to show that they shouldn't be blaming gaming for every accident that walks into a school with a weapon.

My games were kinda played with my parents so we all had that scare. Jeez, I played a lot games with my parents. Especially the heXen's...

Right you are. All that "games make kids go crazy" is rubbish. If a kid is so crazy that he imitates games there is a much deeper problem.
I first played the game when I was 8. I only got addicted to it when I was around 10. I can say that's when my obsession for video games started.
No such thing as addiction or obsession. Its a love, a passion, a need for video games. Addiction and obsession is the negativity that society has given games.
My obsession/passion for games began with Heretic, I think... and I still love Heretic... hahaha...
Yeah, I think it's great how we all have that special game that really cemented our interests in games. For me it was Wing Commander and Lands of Lore. And to this day, I've never played a game that topped those ones.
WOLFENSTEIN!!! That is, I THINK, the first game I ever played. I don't remember if that is the full name, either. I know Wolfenstein was definitely number one or two. It's a toss up between that and Wing Commander Armada, I don't remember.

For me it was actually Diablo II and Counter-Strike 1.6.

It's the decisions you make when you have no time to make them that define who you are.

Ya, I'm 17 but I still consider myself pretty old school.

To find the truth, you must risk everything.
