i believe not in science, or gods, but in me. i take what i see, and choose whether or not i like it. my morals and take more after christians, my actions like those of the greeks and romans, and my overall spirituallity in scientology. i believe that after you die you simply enter a newborn babie's body and start all over again. bad actions in your life, and not coping with them tarnish you, and make you worse and worse until you choose to take the body of a lesser being such as a dog. you grow weary, feeling that its too hard, so you go to a lesser simpler life. that is the basic cycle in scientology, and it is what my dad believes in.
basically i am unclaim except for myself. i do not believe in anything, i just feel that i should do things because its the right thing. if i had proof otherwise i would be more likely to believe it, but until i have hard proof i wont beleive in something i dont know is there. people shouldnt do the right thing for fear of going to hell, they should do it because its the right thing. because it satisfies their integrity, not because you'll get in trouble with big brother. i just think that people do things for the wrong reasons, and that christianity is too soft on their rules. according to religious people you can kill, molest, rape, and still be admitted to heaven, which to me feels unfair for the real believers and followers who kept themselves from such temptations or whatever.
kingpin im sorry about your mother, i dont know how i would take it if my mom passed on, probably very harshy. i cant imagine life without my mom simply because a mother is something we all come to depend on, even when you dont notice it or dont want to admit she is that important. then again im just 17.
if their was no angels i would be gone right now... i shuld have wrecked my car a few times by now but somehow it stayed on the road... call it good fortune or what ever but no luck in the world could have kept my car on the road

If you ever meet a hafling and a hungry dragon you dont have to outrun the dragon, you only have to outrun the hafling.
Although if you believe in science, or however you wish to prase it, it would be perfectly possible to a person t fall through a solid wall. Chances are so slim it will probably never happen during the entire life-span of the universe, but it is possible nontheless.

well if you say angels what kind are you talking about almost every relgion has its own version of angels, so i guess you cant really talk about angels without talking about religion at some point.

-Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.
Darkjay said that I could call his savings whatever I wished, but that no amount of luck could have saved him. As a reply, I prased my sentence from the ither standpoint on the matter, and showed that by writing "if you believe in science."
That Judaism, Christianity and Islam all have angels make sense since they all evolved from each other, but Buddhism also have angels in them. Hinduism, I don't know, but perhaps they have something similar.

i liked the greek gods because they werent perfect, they were just superhumans. in reality i kinda agree more with the imperfect olympian gods than with the christian god who is supposed to be perfect and merciful.
even the jewish god, which is supposed to be the christian, is angry. he flooded the earth but for two of each animal and a family. how horrible is that? he kicked out adam and eve for eating a freakin apple!! i think that's pretty harsh stuff.

my point exactly, almost every form of religion has its own version of angels in one form or another.
though i think the chirstian version is the most common

If he is so benevolent, how come there is suffering in the world, among his worshippers too?
without the presence of evil, there cannot be good.
peace is not the absence of war, it is the presence of justice.
i actually have no idea what im saying the two above lines just sound cool is all.

hmmm....Maybe by comparing it to standard life styles...one would consider a haneous act as evil.
Ah, but aren't standard life-styles influences by our view of good and evil? For example, our society believes that killing is wrong, and therefore we punish those acts. If it goes that way, how could you compare it backwards? That is like saying "Black is something that is dark, and dark is something that is black." They both prove each other, but both are dependant on the other being decided first without being influenced by the other.

yes your right Phrozen... views of good and evil does influence standard society...but that is why we have courts and enforcers of right and wrong (good and evil). So we are both right and wrong...To decide of what is right or wrong...the overall society chooses one to determine on what is right and wrong. ex...the next governor of asldfkwkjh decides that killing people is right. That governor was selected by the people.
I dont know what the hell i am saying ? ? ?
