I Would Love To See A Scythe Wielding Class That Would Be So Wicked Xd
prehaps a class that recieves a bonus when using a scythe, sure. much like the druid's speed bonus when using a maul, and the barb's speed bonus when using an axe.
but the class would still be pretty general, if you wanted to use a different weapon you could.

yeah, don't make the classes pigeonholed into certain things, because that's one thing that has always been a bit unique about the diablo games, if you wanted to pump the str on your sorcerer/sorceress, and send him/her into the fray to chop people with axes, you could

Yeah, I love that feature
Let me write down my priest thoughts.

Something that Blizzard makes- does w/e blizz wants
i actually was working on an undead class. i made it pretty detailed
Race: Undead
Trees:
Diseases (all spreadable)
some skills being: a skill that automatically gives open wounds, a venom type move but more powerfull and more time, mana leech, durability drain, enemy life/mana% reduction, death (casts poison explosion on death)
Melee
some skills being: a charge like skill, gore, feed (life/mana steal added to attack), heavy swing (greatly raises damage and attack rating but lowers attack speed), final breath (does more damage the lower your health is)
Undead
some skills being: poison mastery, (passive) life after kill, (passive) increased attack speed (passive), hide (ability to dissappear off of map and screen if standing still), lower speed (passive), play dead (immune for x amount of time but cannot move), horror (lower targets attack rating x percent), friendly fire (damage reduced by undead, passive), dominion (convert monsters or other players summons into undead allies), cannabalize (use player ears to give 3% life and mana)
Stats
5 life per vit
2 mana per ene
most def per dex
Breakpoint approximations
low fhr
low fcr
high ias
Class Items - i was thinkin skulls u can only find off of the certain monsters u kill i.e. fallen skull comes from fallen only.
your ideas seems ok but nthe names might need changing. christianity and thus anything based on it, doesnt exist in the diablo universe.

Thanks for the input Elfen, although I don't totally agree with you that Christianity doesn't exist in the diablo world.
The idea of heaven, hell, angels, demons, good vs. evil is very judeo-christian. Tyrael, the "Archangel" is very much modeled after Michael in my opinion.
Also, and most evident, is the paladin character. If i recall, his skill "holy bolt" is a flaming cross graphic. Also the "Redemption" defensive aura is a cross. It doesn't get more christian than a crucifix.
add in the number of people crucified in the levels and you've got a bit of a christian influence on the game and story. (i know crucifiction isn't necessarily christian, but the imagery absolutely is).
i was talking about the fact there is no God, Satan or Jesus aspects of christianity in diablo. other parts like holy and redemption are fine.

Well... The cross itself is a Jesus aspect. And it appears a lot in the Diablo series. The fact that the Paladin has the cross in graphics suggests that he is a christian. An empty cross (crucifix) has no other significant meaning other than being a symbol of christianity.
Anyway, I understand what you are saying about not mentioning jesus by name but the cross is essentially the symbol of jesus.
Hes got a point Elfen, how can you not understand this logic?
But on the other hand, the fact that the Paladin uses hammers and maces a lot and even has an attack called Blessed Hammer suggests that he is Nordic.
And besides, the fact that hes black surely means that hes from Africa, where else could he have come from?
And more before I get to the point, a crucifix is a cross which is not empty, it is a cross with a human being crucified on it, hence, it is not an empty cross.
And to the point, Christianity has no ownership over the symbol of the cross, it has existed thousands of years before Christianity was founded and it will surely outlast the religion by not less than that.
That the programmers of the game chose to put images of crosses in it and also to maybe integrate it with some religious meaning doesn't mean you can now directly impose real world meaning to it, and surely not in such a selective way as to point out only the religion you know of that uses the symbol of the cross.
The Paladins first and foremost believe in the teachings of Akarat, the founder of the Zakarum church, and though the church itself is no longer devoted to the Light, the Paladins still are.

Thanks for correcting me on the crucifix/cross thing solomir, i wasn't quite correct on that aspect.
I do understand that the cross symbol and crucifiction have existed long before christianity, but the cross never had a religious "meaning" until christ was put upon it. Thats all i'm saying there.
Why would the paladin consider the cross a religious symbol if he was not a christian, unless someone within the diablo religious world was crucified?
I think the developers didn't really think about it when they added crosses, but they inadvertantly added a christian aspect to game.
well thats the thing about most fantasy games, they really are all derived from a certain degree of mythology or religion. Most fantasy style games have a diety system more akin to the Greek or Roman gods and mythologies with all the different gods ruling over different aspects of life, while Diablo has a more monotheistic basis, using many christian themes of angels, and strong symbolism such as the use of threes, such as the prime evils, a sort of twisted version of the holy trinity
Just another thing i like about the lore of the diablo series

Crusader
Holy Relics (Entire-party auras produced from relics found while on crusade)
---Cup of Christ (Life regen of entire party, plus immune %)
---Piece of the True Cross (extra damage and armor vs. undead or demons)
---Heart of St. Peter (% increase in attack speed/ damage)
Path to Heaven (crusading skills/enhancments)
---Purger of infidels (damage evil shockwave)
---Sacker of Cities (% extra gold and increase chance of magic items)
---Denouncer of blasphomy (cripple/paralyse/damage single target)
---Charge of the Templars (10 or 15 mounted Templar Ghosts ride in from back of screen and charge with lances at enemies)
---Tuetonic Sheild (5 or 6 Teutonic Knight ghosts form a spear wall in front of the crusader and fight off enemies for period of time)
Servant of God (self-inhancement)
---Corpus Mortification (heal curse/disease/poison on self)
---Vow of Celebasy (% increase in strength/dex/mana)
---Will of God (resistance to magic)
Basically a different version of the paladin, with more of a Templar flair.
Obiously there would be more skills, etc.
I want a cup of christ it sure sounds tasty.

honestly, the original heroes will do. just add some more items!
