God, as an entity higher than Angels and Archanges has not been mentioned.
However, one of Tyrael's soundfiles has him saying "Godspeed".
Natalya also says "Godspeed".
But there is several mentions of a world that is higher than both Heaven and Hell, in the same way that Heaven and Hell is a higher world than Sanctuary. From this world are the Dreamers (toad-like creatures), whos enormous power is summoned by a necromancer in one of the novels (I think its Legacy of Blood). The Dreamer acts like a genie, granting the necromancer whatever it wants as a kind of favour (but it is annoyed at the 'wish' it grants, because it is so feeble compared to what it has the power to do).
In Act3, the 3 brothers summon the gate to Hell , Marius is 50 yards away with Baal's soulstone , isnt that weird none can sense it lol .
Later Baal finds Marius in the asylum , how did baal find him ? the connection between him and the soulstone helped him for sure.
Whats ure thought about this?

It is weird, yes. Its really just a plot device that has no real answer, unfortunately.
I always thought that the Three were just too focused on creating the gate to Hell to pay him any attention.
Either that or they let him watched the whole scene just for the pleasure of making him go insane.
The Great Eye is in reference to the Rogue's religion. They call themselves the Sisters of the Sightless Eye. We don't know much about their religion, but the whole 'eye' thing is about a kind of 'sixth sense' that Rogues have, similar to the Inner Sight skill of the Amazons.
Quote from Diablo I manual »
Rogue The Sisters of the Sightless Eye are a loosely organized guild shrouded in mystery amongst the peoples of the West. These highly skilled archers employ ancient Eastern philosophies that develop an "inner-sight" that they use both in combat and to circumvent dangerous traps that they may encounter. Known only as wandering Rogues in the West, the Sisters conceal their secret affiliation by posing as simple travelers. Many pompous fools have made the mistake of underestimating these steel nerved women in combat and paid a terrible price for their vanity.
The strange events transpiring in Khanduras have caught the attention of many of these Rogues. They have come from as far as the Eastern dunes to test their skills against the dark evil that is said to be lurking in Tristram. It is also believed that untold riches wait to be discovered among the ruins of the Horadrim monastery.
Although not as powerful in close combat as the Warrior, the Rogue is the undisputed master of the bow. A skilled Sister can send a stream of arrows at an opponent, each fired with a seemingly careless precision. The innate sixth sense that all Rogues seem to possess also allows them to sense trapped fixtures, and aids them in attempt to disarm these traps.
I have the original manual and it actually starts at the bottom of page 104.
Weird. Is your book approximately the size of a piece of paper? Or is it half the size of a piece of paper?
That is something I think the diablo series does well, despite being so vague.
The classes have such amazing backstories and cultures but you never get to truly see them. I hope this changes in D3.
Question: Knaak mentions people in the sin war that look asian. Did he say which part of sanctuary they come from?

-Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.

Well it's a bit less than half the size of a piece of paper, but if you're still looking for it, it should start right after the shrine and wells in the item section.

Really? This sounds familiar for some reason. Can you tell me what page and what book?
To answer your question I highly doubt that he did, I usually notice that kind of things.
There already is an asian kind of part to Sanctuary
It was mentioned in the Sin War Trilogy breifly. When they went into some random city in Kehjistan (I can never remember the names) they saw people of all different colours that they had never seen before.
It mentions yellow people with slantly eyes from some part of Kehjistan that he had never seen before
Ill try and find the quote (from Scales of the Serpant)
The Hashiri were dressed very similar to the Torajians, save that many wore silver sashes around
their waists, and for the upper castes, nose rings of that very metal. There were other travelers as
well, including a few yellow-skinned merchants from east of Kehjan. With their narrow eyes and
unreadable expressions, they seemed almost feline. The Parthans among his group were especially
fascinated by them, not that the Torajians did not also express interest.
Hmm says there are from the East of Kehjan. Noesn't really list a name, or give that much detail at all. Didn't seem like there is much to the east of Kehjan. Or am I thinking of Kehjastan.
That's another question, is Kehjan the same as Kehjastan, or a place therein?

Kehjan was the greatest city in Uldyssian's time and it was probably located south to Kurast. The East of Kehjan seems to be either the region of Viz-Jun or the Swamp Lands in the current map.
Note that after a thousand years it is also possible that they these people have migrated to another region of the world maybe that new island known as Xiansai.
EDIT: Weird just noticed that Xiansai was on the map in D2 manual, it was just uncharted.

Yeah, thats the same in my book, except mine's on page 75. Aww, why does your book have more pages than mine? I feel like I'm missing out on something
How is it that Sanctuary is hidden from Hell and Heaven (or was) but you can get to Hell from Sanctuary just by walking underground? Why is Hell underground, instead of like... a different dimension? Or continent?

it is a different dimension, and Sanctuary wasnt hidden to either Hell or Heaven by the time that the Prime Evils were banished from hell into the mortal plane since Trag'Oul was weakened to the level that he can no longer cloak Sanctuary
I got a question that maybe someone can actually answer.
Leoric was a king but did he even had a castle?
I haven't read anything canon about this, but I heard that the Cathedral of Tristram was actually the place where he lived though that sounds kind of odd.
Well King Leoric settled in Tristram and the Cathedral was once a great and vast building of the highest standard made by the Horadrim, but by the time Leoric came to Tristram is had fallen into ruin. He rebuilt it to its former glory and made it his seat of power though.
So basically what you're saying is that The little church we saw in D1 is in fact only a part of a big monastery about as big as the Rogue's... or are the church and the cathedral two separate buildings?

I'm confused
i've actually heard somewhere that (well in D2) that it was unknown why tristram was shown as a lil town or why the lil church was shown smaller
well how do u get in the catacombs? (i havent played D1)
The Smith in Act I seems like a shifty character. As all of the monsters were the humans/animals in their corrupted form, is there any idea who he is? Also, does he have anything to do with Hephasto?

It's the decisions you make when you have no time to make them that define who you are.

However I can't find this in my D2 manual. Is it suppose to be there? Is it only on certain prints of the manual?
On page 75, it explains armor, gold, and jewelry, then on page 78 is the "Long Road's End" poem, and page 80 is the map.
Oh wellz.
Have you tried using the search function incase they moved it somewhere else? Search for the text?
