I think that the assassin is under-rated in d2 lod. She is very good in pvp and pvm with her lightning traps...as well as her ability to produce the highest amount of damage known in the game <--- Very true. My sin is only at lvl 82 and she gets to 36k damage in one kick. Go ask a few of my legionaires :D. She still needs work on in the realm of survivability...but one day she shall be supreme HAHAHA.

Those before me shall quiver in my wake as I unleash the fury within!
The hammerdin with Enigma is by far my favortie char even tho they can not do much untill their about lvl 60 or so haha ... but i put enigma on there b/c if u have one u can cast tele cast tele cast tele and have several hammers cover a very large area due to the fact that they sprial out the longer there out and most PvP take place outside in the bloodmorn and its nothing but open grounds so therefore that = pwnage

I've always been really into the Necromancer. Besides his aesthetics, I simply love the Summoning skills and Bone skills. The Curses are okay. But I mostly just upgraded the Iron Maiden. And the Golems were great because most of them had attributes unique enough that I didn't mind using them all despite being a high level. Like if you got a really great weapon or piece of armor you're never going to use, why not make a Golem out of it. It also does the thorn damage which is nice. And the Blood Golem, besides looking cool and sounding gushy, is fun to share life with and doing your best keeping it alive.
So, the Necromancer requires a bit more micromanagement than the other classes, especially once the skeletal warriors and mages start getting wiped out quicker, but it's the most fun class out of the original five to play in my opinion. I also want to talk about the Assassin but I know we're just sticking with the original classes in this thread.

He pretty fun I agree, but the paladin's got much more variations to him than the necro, who's basically either a bonemancer of a summonancer.
PlugY for Diablo II allows you to reset skills and stats, transfer items between characters in singleplayer, obtain all ladder runewords and do all Uberquests while offline. It is the only way to do all of the above. Please use it.
Supporting big shoulderpads and flashy armor since 2004.

In pvp...I would just tele on someone and my minions would kill them instantly...doesnt matter whom it was.
10 Skellys X 1.2k Damage =12,000 damage when I tele on someone in one attack. This is not factorying my mages and revives damage as well.
So my hat goes out to the summon necro.
Paladin/Amazon/Nec/Sorc
Have Fun,
Live your life,
I always admired the guys that brought down the roman empire.
Face it! One on one the barbarian is truelly devastating.
I killed Baal with only 3 hits on hell mode.
To find the truth, you must risk everything.
