Cache legendaries and infernal organs (maybe some other stuff) are 100% drops on T6, so how the hell are keys not in the mix? Killed a dozen or so keywardens on 6 today, not a single key to show for it. Does that sound right to you?
I believe that the keys are a group drop now, so if it drops for anyone it drops for everyone. Try farming in a group of four for keys, instead of running on your own. If the drop rates for keys haven't changed, at T6 I believe it should be 50%.
From my experience keys tend to drop more in group play than solo. As stated above it's possibly due to group drop, so you have a higher (x3) chance of getting one. Then again when I solo key farm I tend to stay T3 or below for efficiency.
I have a feeling that key drops will be buffed, seeing how getting a perfect ammy is like winning the lottery as it is and you could go a whole season without getting the one you need/want.
well I speed run that's why, I could speed run T6 but I like passively killing things on the way to the keywarden. I run a vault build so anything higher than T3 I don't passively kill things. It's really up to you though, I like the chance of legs while farming the wards and how quickly I can burn them down on lower Torments.
Have been KW farming for 10hrs straight today *i'm retired and have nothing better to do*. And I split up that time with 1/2 solo farming, and the other half in public groups farming. I did this just to get a balanced run of it all. And out of all that farming for that many hours I still only came away with: 14- Key of Bones, 13 - Key of Gluttony, 13 - Key of War, 12 - Key of Evil. Now all of these games were run on T6 to max out the 'supposed' drop rate.
So that just a avg of 5.2 per hour running *since I saw no difference in drop rate in public to solo runs*.
Is this the kind of drop rate that we are to expect for keys?
Thanks, willsaf, that's exactly what I was getting at. It seems like an odd place to draw the T6 guaranteed drops line. It's even more irritating given the extreme likelihood of spending that much time farming keys, then organs, only to make a handful of truly awful/usually unusable Hellfire necks. People need to understand there's a difference between time invested and time wasted, even in a videogame.
