I just wanted to come and point out some things that you all may not know what you have agreed to. Below is a copy of a statement from the new TOS/EULA.
A.? use cheats, automation software (bots), hacks, mods or any other unauthorized third-party software designed to modify the service, any game or any game experience;
D.? use any unauthorized third-party software that intercepts, "mines", or otherwise collects information from or through any Game or the Service, including without limitation any software that reads areas of RAM used by any Game or the service to store information about a character or a Game environment; provided, however, that Blizzard may, at its sole and absolute discretion, allow the use of certain third party user interfaces.
So I bolded the part that alarms me the most. Now blizzard is stating in their TOS/EULA that they can allow what ever cheaters they want to allow. These cheaters include all Multi-boxers that use 3rd party software which is NOT limited so this includes Travis Day. We already see how multi-boxers are winning the ladders in PTR 1 Korean 4 characters and 3rd party software which I wont name as I don't support them.
When trying to bring this to the attention of blizzard they had literally nobody they could refer me to so that this band of cheaters that have infiltrated the developer team on Diablo 3. I wont name names as I don't want to point the blame but I know 100s of people that get ban for simply leaving something on keyboard to not getdisconnected while they eat or do something really fast since the rift was opened already. Yet they shun a blind eye to the blatant cheating done by 3rd party software that allows users to essentially click 1 time on 4 screens with 1 mouse/keyboard. This is AUTOMATION as the human/player is not clicking on each screen they click 1 screen and the program automates clicking the other 3 screens.

TLDR: Blizzards EULA/TOS now allows for cheating when they say its ok
You do realize that they already could choose who to punish and who not to punish, right? This TOS change means absolutely nothing.
Also, I'm willing to bet that you don't know a single person that has been banned for cheating since RoS went live. You damn sure don't know "100s" of them. No one has been banned for putting something on their keyboard to keep them from going afk.
Finally, "third party user interfaces" does not refer to bots. It does not refer to cheating. It refers, if anything, to community-made damage meter addons. It's a nice way of saying, "we won't ban you for doing something that no one in their right mind would consider cheating."
So, basically, you're complaining because Blizzard might be alright with damage meters. Good job. Maybe work on those critical-thinking skills before you post another bunch of bullshit like this?

This is the internet you can either believe me or check for yourself.I wont be able to change your point of view just offering information to those that just scroll down and don't read the TOS/EULA since its now actually written for them to allow any cheaters they want to allow.
Thanks for your input though
Edit #1: Which if they allow whatever cheaters they want to allow then you can be assured that they will allow botters that pay them off to bot 1000s if not more bots without bans. GG

Oh, I read it just fine. Unlike you, however, I understand what it said. I also did a pretty good job of explaining it in my first post, but you do not appear to have read it, so I'll state it again:
"third party user interfaces"
What does that mean to you? It sounds like you interpret it as botting. It's not botting. Have you ever played WoW? Heard of recount? Recount is a damage addon that uses, you guessed it, a "third party user interface." It does not automate gameplay. It does not provide you with an advantage. IT IS NOT CHEATING.
Also, botters paying them off? What, does Blizzard have a store for botters to buy protection? Do they take checks? Use some common sense.
In fact, I'm going to point out that this EULA/TOS change probably means that Blizzard is going to start banning cheaters when Seasons arrive. The whole point of differentiating "third party user interfaces" from botting and cheats is so that people will know that botting will get you banned, but not damage meters. Make sense?
TL;DR: This is the opposite of what you're expecting -- it means that they're going to start banning people.
Add-ons and 3rd party software are COMPLETELY different since 1 is built into the game and runs with the games interface. AKA your damage meters. and another does things for you AKA BOTS And other 3rd party software.
To note you are automating your clicks as YOU are not clicking each client please try to argue automatio cause you can argue the points and fact that its cheating running 4 characters with 3rd party software.
Add-ons and 3rd party software are COMPLETELY different since 1 is built into the game and runs with the games interface. AKA your damage meters. and another does things for you AKA BOTS And other 3rd party software.
...
Third-party means it's made by someone else. All addons in Blizzard games are, you guessed it, made by someone else. Therefore, addons are third-party software. If you want to argue semantics like this, you should probably know what you're talking about first.
Seriously, you have no clue what you're talking about here. Also, go ahead and keep complaining about multiboxing, but it's not going to change anything. If someone is willing to spend the money for 2+ accounts, they have every right to play them at the same time. Clicking a mouse and having all of your characters click the mouse is not automation -- you're still clicking your mouse.
Don't even bother belloc. It's not worth your time to argue semantics with someone on the internet, especially on a website not officially moderated or responded to/by blizzard.
Honestly, I think there's got to be some kind of language barrier going on here, because it's pretty obvious that the OP has it backwards. Oh well, I'm out.

You are adverting the whole point of this topic. I understand that its hard for you to comprehend 1 mouse click doesn't = 2 or 3 or 4 per how many clients you have. If this was then case then the same can be said for bots as I click 1 button but it clicks = 2 or 3 or 4000 times. It is the same thing and is automation period.
Back on topic it still stands that blizzard will per TOS/EULA allow whatever cheaters they want and ban the others.
Multi-boxing isn't supported by blizzard, But it's not against their rules.
One key stroke, is sent to each client, which is okay to them, because YOU'RE doing it, and it only ever issues ONE command per client. If you pressed ONE button and it did FIVE things on each client, THAT would be against the rules as it's automated.
TL'DR, Multi-boxing is ALLOWED, but not SUPPORTED, any issues you have due to it will NOT be resolved by blizzard.

Yeah, might as well stop trying to teach the pig to sing. It wastes your time and annoys the pig.
