Someone should probably tell you - so let me be the one to do it - that this is not Blizzard's website, and you are not going to get an answer from them.
For my opinion, though, no, I think this is a very bad idea. New stuff is added in patches to give you new things to do and new goals to pursue. It would be completely counter-productive to let you just buy your way to getting the best possible 2.1 gear without even having to play after 2.1 lands.
Also, "half of the weapons that people have found are now useless" is a wild exaggeration. That weapon you just called useless? It is exactly the same after 2.1 as it is now. Whatever difficulty you can clear with it now, you can still clear with it after 2.1. The fact that it becomes possible to find something even better does not make your weapon useless.
Don't even bother belloc. It's not worth your time to argue semantics with someone on the internet, especially on a website not officially moderated or responded to/by blizzard.
Your question also depends if you are talking about 2 man, 3 man, 4 man team, solo, SC vs HC and if it's for GR or just crushing T6 etc. It's a really general question. Please be more specific.
This. Also, depends on the items you have atm. DH dominate with the bugged chest piece that makes them pretty much invulnerable. Also, there are a couple items that outshine others for almost any class. It won't really be clear until later on in the ptr or well after it is released live and patched.
I have a ton of hours in the game. Love it but haven't played in a while. I managed to craft everything (back when I played, not sure of the new stuff since I haven't really played since the beginning of the year). Made a trap area for doing the different monster waves and bosses. I'd definitely join you guys to run around in and give some tips too. When you start finding the different items you can combine a lot like the balloon + horse shoe etc
The lava walkers are almost mandatory for lowest levels.
Be careful once you hit the bottom. You can tell when the whole bottom is nothing but lava pretty much. There are these flying demons that sometimes carry a little doll. If you kill one and the doll falls into the lava it will spawn the wall of flesh, which is required to turn the world into hardmode and significantly more difficult. But it allows you to summon new bosses for more phat loots!
My Steam name is Dr. Sad Face so add me! Here is my awesome trap area I made. Also, I wired up most of my main map with teleporters so I can travel quickly to different sides of the map or down to the bottom. Took effing forever to lay all the wire out!
IMO, for greater rifts 30+ I wouldn't wear anything other than one of the immunity necks because higher tier rifts feel like pre-nerf inferno, everything that isn't your basic white mob 1 shots you... Toughness feels relatively worthless and the only survivability stats that are worth-while are immunities. I doubt any of the extra passives (considering it's not going to be one of your top 4) outweighs the amount of time spent running back from checkpoint because you got clipped by an arcane torrent for 1/5th of a second.
In fact for bis I would opt for having 1 of each immunity neck and switch between them.
Dear god I hope you're wrong, nothing is more annoying then having to item swap. It drives me nuts right now and I only swap out for arcane immunity and shrine elites. If to survive in end game you have to carry a inventory half full of "situational gear" and switch a bunch of stuff out depending on the incoming monster pack that would be something that just might make me quit.
Blizz is already giving us a handicap since you can run with a 4 player party and have 4x more keys/machines - hence 4x higher drop chance
maybe i oversee something, but how do you get 4x more keys in a 4 player party? also the 4x higher drop chance ?
Can't open inventory or item swap in greater rifts.
4x the chance i think he meant that if each person in your group got a key then you could open up additional portals because each person could open their own portal.
As far as I know DoTs can crit. It doesn't show as yellow crit damage but the DoT will tick for much higher than normal. It's like if you cast the DoT spell and it casts as a crit, then your ticks will all be higher.
i would say keep the CDR and get rid of the damage. My logic being yes you may lose a little damage but you'll be able to pop AC more often or w/e CD spells you use. I'm usually really bad when it comes to decisions like this and just say F' it, pick one and go one with my day.
