The only thing I'd miss, would be the items for leveling to buy right when they are needed. But with T6 boosting, leveling went beyond rediculous and thus no need for any items at all, atleast for me.
Else I'm fine with the AH gone. I made my cash while it lasted and now I just hope for some smart drops.
but dude.. I needed more classes... and the FoV slider, ffs, that's Infinity's Ward fuck-up, not mine... (mine was using the program at the wrong time, so they thought it was a normal cheat).
They even admitted it's ok for people to use FoV sliders in Ghosts, so why not in MW3. Anyways, I never knew what got me banned, the extra classes (without prestige) or the FoV slider. I'm inclined to say it was the FoV slider.
And yeah, I see your point now regarding cheats. Like actual game data hacking still happens in Ghost (where they edit their server-side stats), but overall Steam games are pretty safe (and the ones you mentioned too).
Now let's get back to the topic I already miss the AH.... I need to sell a slightly worse Zuni's Boots than the ones I'm using that would go for 10 mil, but in my inventory they're worth nothing =|
I thought the AH was fine, I didn't use it much but I liked having it there and knowing I could use it if I needed. The people who hated it often claimed to be the ones who didn't use it, but if they didn't use it why do they hate it? It was very easy to ignore as if it didn't exist. People called the RMAH pay to win, but D2 was no different and that didn't do so bad, only difference in D2 was that the pay to win gear came from third party websites.
Diablo isn't really a "win" type of game, it's not like Warcraft where there is a pve progression race, with very difficult progression path and guild/player ranking, Diablo is a non competitive/casual hack n slash co-op game.
