So I used to frequent the incgamers diablo forum, but that is realy down to a few posts active threads per day. Same story here realy, even the general forum only has a hand full of active threads per day.
So where is the new unofficial d3 forum that has a lot of activity? Or is it the official forum?
My experience, certainly at the site I staff at is that sites like reddit and official game forums (neither of which really existed until about 10 years ago) take a lot of the traffic away from fansites. Although on the plus site official forums act as a barrier to entry for fansites and generally improve the content and maturity of the forum discussions.
At this moment most players are probably on a hiatus waiting for the changes of patch 1.0.8 (which will allow them to farm different places other than Act 3).
Not a lot of people want to pickup 1k rares to identify manually when the ID All feature is just around the corner (as well as some skill balance changes).
This is probably reflected on the forums' activity.
or some (like me) don't have any useful things to say
Yeah, I don't really say much when I'm at a loss for words (regardless of the situation).
And like Zero said, many people are just waiting for the patch. I know I'll probably have a thing or two to say once it goes live. I'm not doing PTR for a reason.
I don't post that much either. First, because i rarely have anything useful to say. Second, i enjoy reading much more than posting
I just picked up some discussions recently because they were interesting and at least, on this site, threads are quite civil and mature.
My brain would commit suicide if i try to discuss something on the official forum <.<'
Reddit, or Battle.net. However you did say unofficial so that only leaves Reddit, which I haven't even looked at in a while so I'm not certain on it's activity.
I still prefer this community even though it's not super active. Diablofans is my number 1 go to!

Anyways, as always we should see an increase in forum/game activity once the new patch hits.

We all know you'd take a machete to your wrists if you accidentally found that elusive upgrade on the PTR! Clean your own blood up, sir!

So far, so good. I've learned some new tech and look forward too many years here as I play D3.
