I'm sure I'm not the only guy on d3 who hardly ever finds legendaries....does blizzard plan on upping drop rates on legendaries anytime soon? Its kinda bs that I farm for hours on in and find maybe one or two items that MIGHT sell in the ah for a couple hundred thousand.. if I've missed something in the previous blue post or somewhere else please inform me. Thanks!
I didn't find a legendary until plvl 9, and since then I have found approx 1 per level (sometimes I don't get one for a week, then I get 3 in 3 days, etc). Keep pluggin on through the dry spells, try to wear atleast a couple pieces of MF gear, and you will be rewarded (eventually).
I think the drop rate is just find. I have my good runs and I have dry spells. Random is random but some things can make a difference such as MF, where you farm and how much time you put into farming.

I really hope not, since the last patch i have been getting on average 1 legendary per 1-2 hours played.
But before that i didn't see one legendary for 50 hours played, so its just luck, and high MF
I'm currently on a dry spell. Though I blame mostly myself because I haven't been trying in the last Plevel or so.
But from Paragon 1-37, I pretty much averaged 1 or 2 legendaries per level, then went on a dry spell from Plevel 38-42. Went back to a steady flow of legendaries until Plvl 50. My grinding has slowed to a crawl since then because of boredom.
Anyway, I run with 0% MF on my main gear and 23% MF from my follower. Combined with Paragon MF and NV stacks, that's what I run with through all my sessions.
My policy is to go full out DPS, clear content faster, kill faster, kill more, get more loot and up chances for unique items to drop.
The legendary drop rate is pretty high to me. I got 6 through the past weekend, although all of them are crap, nothing worth over 1 million. I found it's funny that I always find 2 hand weapons, I have got 4 sledge of athskeleng so far.
I have to shake my head at people who complain about legendaries/set items not dropping then they post that they have very little magic find.
What did you expect?
I run at or close to 375% MF. Sometimes a bit lower with gaining plvl and inserting/removing gear but never under 365%. I find a set item/legendary nearly every Act 3 run (>90% of the time). I was at 355% MF before 1.0.4 hit and had similar experiences (consistency with a large sample size).

Good luck.
You do understand that if you state you find a Legendary and or Set item every run with roughly 350% MF, someone with 0% MF should find a Legendary/Set item every 3-4th run? On the other hand, not everybody can afford a perfect MF Setup to farm Act3.
I have to shake my head at people who think theyre so much more clever than others.
I think they already did i got 5 yesterday and a total of 18 since i have been back. I have been back for about 2 weeks.
I stream so if you do not believe me go to twitch and search C3llmass
See this is the shit that drives me nuts.. I've found 5 legendaries since the game has come out and all junk at that.. I'm glad for other ppl finding them but that helps me none..I play atleast 5 or 6 hours a day and I just don't get it...dumb luck I guess.

I never claimed to be "much more clever". I even posted a resource to help some understand MF better.
The only reason I posted my MF numbers and how long I've had them is to preemptively address the "random is random" posts.
I won't apologize for trying to help people and I look forward to others doing the same.
I want the legendaries drop rate nerfed, they are too high imo.
I honestly want them to be more rare, I see people farming at insane speed with 375% MF (yea, thosse lvl 100 paragon) find more than 2 legendaries per hour, sure they farm a lot but I think halving it would be fine, that way the prices would hopefully go up enough for people to consider buying rares again and maybe we would have a better market.
Though my hypothesis might be wrong, and people would be frustrated about not finding a legendary.
but seriously, legendaries should be rare, not something you get upset about not finding but like "WOW WTF OMG DID IT REALLY DROP!?!?!?" when it first drops. People expect to find a legendary every time they kill a mob =/

This are drop rates, not statistics.
If you play a lottery 100 times with 1% win chance and a lottery 10 times with 10% win chance, which1 will be easiest to win?
From a statistic point of view, its an equal chance, but now lets turn it into something more practical.
Let's say you play darts, in this version of darts the bull's eye provide 10 points and cover 1% of the target, while there is a "bigger bulls eye" which provides 1 point, and cover 10% of the target. Chances are some1 that's bad at darts will hit 10 points in the "bigger bulls eye" before he would hit once in the bulls eye, because its an easier target to hit. That's also how you need to think about drop rates, its way more likely that a 0.0375% drop will drop than a 0.01% will because you simply got way more to go at.
If you don't believe me, please try it out (as long as you ain't good at darts).
Also, the reason I want some1 that is bad at darts is because its more about luck and chance then, than it is about skill. If its about skill it removes the entire point since the loot system is about luck and chance.
It's really demoralising when you play co-op and the team posts their legendary loot ever so often.
Last night my heart skipped a beat when a Brown dropped off a mob. But disappointment set in when i realised it's an amulet, and even more so when it's Mara's Kaleidoscope. A measly +80 stat boost on every base stat and boost a random skill. Don't understand why this is a "legendary" when only 2 stats really matter.
Since then I don't go out of Act 1 very often because I find I get killed more (obviously) and the drops are just a bunch of junk.
I get lot's of gold in Act 1, and once in a while I get something I can use for my 'all drops' Monk build .

Sure leveling is a bit slower, but its more enjoyable seeing better drops, at least for me.
