You think you are so sly.

This is a call out to all you morons that think I, and many others, will buy your shitty gear with gems already inside.
You do understand that people get plenty of gems already?
You do understand, if I need a gem, there is an AH (or trade channle, many people willing to trade same quality gem for gem)
You do understand that I UNDERSTAND you only put gems into shit gear to make them show on high min stat searches.
What you probably dont understand is unless the peice of gear is exactly what i wanted, I will pass over your pos with gems all day everday.

So thank you for your clutter and the ever increasing spam of worthless items in hopes some moron will missclick or missread.

Just know, most of us refuse to give you buisness. We have our own gems and dont need to buy yours at grossly over estimated prices.

PS: Atleast only 10 POS AAT.

I don't drop gems in to show up on min searches. I drop them to show up on ANY search. For example if someone is looking for vitality/all resist/ and armor. My All resist/armor with a socket will show up because I dropped the gem in there. It's not to trick anybody, it's just to show up on the options. If the AH search functions weren't so limited I wouldn't feel obliged to perform this routine.

And thats why I hate people putting gems into items.

Its simple. It gives a false value to the item and just confuses me. It can screw up the DPS and make comparison harder. It can make it show up on specific stats it doesn't have which makes say, everytime, I DON'T WANT YOU.

If I want sockets, I want empty sockets, and I search for sockets.

Frankly, I think items with socketed gems should not be allowed to be put on the AH. They should have to be removed.

Either that or do not count the gem as attributing to stat filters on the AH (aside from the "has socket" one obviously).
It does make searching the (already loaded) AH even more a pain in the ass than it already is, hopefully they'll reiterate on the AH sooner rather than later.

The thing is however, say I have an item that I've been using myself with a socket, obviously it will have a gem in the socket.
Now I get an upgrade sometime later and I want to sell said item, I'm not gonna pay EXTRA just to remove the gem and then sell it. And it's not like I REALLY need the gem either (unless it's a perfect square or something), because much like you said, everyone already has a ton of gems stashed :P
So yea, I can see the issue, however I do not think people are selling gemmed items solely for the purpose of tricking people into buying an item that's worse than it looks, like the OP suggested. Not saying that isn't the case at all either, but I think his frustrations are misplaced, as it's more an issue with AH not filtering stats attributed by gems properly (or at least not giving us the option to do so).

Sometimes it's someone selling their old gear though. Sometimes.

What are you 5? Can you not understand the basic idea im trying to spread. GEMS WILL NOT MAKE YOUR GEAR SELL. If anything, with trends the way they are, you avoid gear with gems because only 1-100 are actually legit and not just socketed to 'get into more searches'

No 5 year old, no one is forcing me. But they may as well be another gold spammer producing...nothing.
But way to take the 'are they forcing' safe route. Too risky to think of a counter point that hasnt been beaten to death.

Gonna place chipped gems into everything with a socket from now on before selling, because it makes people mad:D

You don't get it. You are not the first genius who finds this annoying, but the problem is that people want their item to show up. If you are searching for a 80 int chest, you also want a chest with 79 int and 3 sockets to show up on the list. Just try to understand the AH search limitations first then come rant here.

blame the guy who set up the filter rules,seriously...
if someone do a search for, let's say '120 int ring , has socket',
a 90 int rare with a socketed topaz will show up,but my 119 intelligence + empty socket won't,so guess what i will socket a gem before selling ,get over it.

My point was that it just ruins the AH that much more, and I like many others will refuse to buy your gems already socket. Have fun wasting your 10/10 slots.

This is also a counter point to the youtube.com video that encourages players to socket thier sells before selling for "legitimate increases in the purchase price"

Just know, people overprice gems in gear like there is no tomorrow. If you want to avoid a ripp off, dont buy.

Here is me not being able to wait for a more robust search options so your gemd garbage doesnt show at all. And you can maintain 10/10 full slots because you dont know how the fuck to play. gg

PSS: if i could ignore it you think i would be here. No its called spreading the word...if you gem your garbage and put it up in some wild hope (KNOWING FULL WELL IT GARBAGE) of selling it, then I hope you get hacked and all belongings reside with some fat fuck that lives with mom. thanks for the weeks of clutter

I know its super cool to be an ass just to be an ass. Or am i stepping on your gem sells? only thing i can think of.

You dont get it. I understand full well what people are doing, they are cheating the search options with gems. Trying to make gear either look complete or god like on paper til you realize half of the numbers were pulled off with sockets. IMO when searching for base stats or min. value, gems should NEVER BE TAKEN INTO ACCOUTN. Did i hit the gem tab...no motherfucker i hit the god dahm equipment tab and by exstention, the armor drop down scroll. So again here i am searching for gear not gems. And no its not hard to gloss over gemmd gear just incase there could be a deal, usually taking more time then it was worth.

So if you are some asshole that thinks "well this is what i have to do to sell my garbage" first thing is first

1: STOP SELLING GARBAGE: not every fucking rare is good, more than 90% of the drops you get are garbage. If its blue and not a weapon, its garbage, if its rare and doesnt have more than 2 good affixes, garbage

2:50k Buyout!? Another sign that you are wasting your time with garbage and will soon start trying to get rid of other things (gems) when your shit doesnt sell. Just because its bro price, doesnt mean its not garbage.

3:TOO MANY GEMS, the only legit arguement I have seen about socketing sells prior to AH "I HAVE TOO MANY FUCKING GEMS WTFF!?" Well this is the easiest, go to trade channle and ask for a 1 to 1 gem trade of differing colors, you would be suprised how many would love to get your overstock off you in fair exchange. THEN UPGRADE YOU CHEAP BASTARDS, took me forever to get full star emeralds but was so worth it.

So yes I understand that the AH searches are shit, and yes I full understand that douchebags like you think spam is legit as long as you have had a string of bad luck in the AH. The thing is people are 60 and geard, we dont want your gabage and the numbers that do are dwindling away fast. So hurry up and post that garbage while you can........O WAIT ONLY 10SLOTS LAWLALWLAWLWALAWLAWLWALAWLAWLAWLAWLWAL you are gabage and so is the shit you put on the AH. L2P if you arent farming act3-4 just stop trying and get that refund, diablo was never for you.
