I think what is too much FAKE ACCOUNT to get this beta-key... what with ppl? they are idiots? or they think what they will take this key if they create 100500 accounts and will post they build and give some comments about build. . .
damn man..wtf with ppl, what happaning with them?
i have 1 account, 1 post 1 messedge and wait for end of "lottery" but else create a new account and post same (or not same) builds.....
i was IP banned once. it means nothing. i came right back with a proxy and remade 10 new accounts with different IP addresses. lawl
I think you can still ban them. Admin at Blizzplanet said there were hundreds of bot created fake users who were using proxy as well, but he banned all of them from contest thread.
figuring out someone is using a bot and creating accounts is one thing. permanently banning someone is another. and its literally impossible. there is no possible way to permanently ban someone from coming to your site or using your site or creating an account at all. or preventing someone from manually creating 100 accounts. even if you required an official e-mail authentication he could easily make 100 e-mail accounts as well.

looks like a fake =)) but don't know =)
At least I post here sometimes. Fake? Yup, you can call me fake. I love how most people have this aggressive stance when it comes to the times when some contest is going on. For your information, it is my one and only account here and I have nothing to be afraid of. Yes, I registered at many sites because I want the beta key. What's wrong with that? Most contests are about being fast, creative and patient. I think that people who came up with all those contests are not obliged to give keys only to those who were registered for ages.
I do not give out aggression, I just posted a possible option.
And on the other you can easily see and also to issue such arguments are based on the fact that they have registered on the day of content and written in the middle of the meeting and gave a post in the topic
Yes, but I did wanna see real builds... and now with 143 pages, I don't know if they aren't randomly generated with the chat gem...
Good luck to all fair players =P
same i would wish to u)
and i wish, what the admin or moderator can find the fake account and, or delete all fake, or delete all fake+true 1 account, which created fakes...
To all the dissent about the creation of accounts at the dawn of these contests, how else would you have Diablofans distribute them. It does make sense to award them to loyal posters who are well known in the community and will likely give strong feedback regarding the beta. But from the point of view of the website developers it makes much more sense to not put this limitation on their site because finally all of the lurkers are creating accounts and will begin to contribute. But I know what you are thinking, that is that they will post only for the contest and nothing else, and largely that will be true, but not in every situation. The point is that with all of this new traffic and accounts this website will grow, if anything in popularity that will allow for higher financial return which means more development towards the site, making it better for everyone.
There is of course the situation where multiple accounts are made by the same user; there is no proper justification for this and Diablofans will not be able to limit it without limiting the other real user. Hopefully they have a method to proof against users placing multiple entries.

meh... I made my account when they created this website and I have diablofans in my rss feeds since then.
But I never really participated on the forum because I didn't really have anything worth to say, and that's why my post count is low.
But I agree that in a near future, this beta invite will be meaningless. I hope will get more news soon.
I don't even think it may be people making multiple accounts - I think this contest is just more popular than the other ones that Diablofans are hosting. The twitter/facebook one is very fiddly - it's so easy to not get a key by being a couple seconds too slow. The regular forum-posting one is too much of a commitment for some people, which just leaves the Build-Creation lottery.
It's purely luck-based, since the news post mentioned that the 50 winners are selected RANDOMLY, so I figure that a lot of people created accounts just for this.
We can only hope that people who are fair and played by the rules, as they were listed, end up with the keys. I believe in doing the right thing, and being fair to others -- that's why I only posted once, from one account. In my eyes, you all deserve beta just as much as me (some of you deserve it even more than me). Good luck to those who played by the rules!

Playing a Wizard. Looking for Demon Hunters to play with.
I have this one account, been here for years. Just entered and I hope to win. Getting tired of losing every single contest and would love to try the beta sooooooo much, Good luck to all. Hope people who are deserving and playing fair get the keys,

The Blizzard family of websites is currently undergoing maintenance to improve your browsing experience. Thank you for your patience!
Except when there's rules in place, and people try to break those rules. Then, those who didn't try to cheat, are those who deserve something.
