i want a beta key because i really wana play diablo 3, a childhood friend of mine told me all about diablo 2 while we were growing up and i never got the chance to play that much of Diablo 2. I have been looking into D 3 for a long time now and im super pyched to play it, maby i can even run into my long lost childhood friend again =). N e ways i think it will give u an edge when D 3 comes out cus u will no where to go n this will make u level and progress through the game faster.I want to play a male demon hunter, the class makes me think of a bada** assassin or sumthing so it makes me think of assassin's creed. assassin's creed looking character in a online game? yes plz
I've always wanted to play Diablo 3, even before it was being produced and this site owned the domain name. The fact we've been getting information, teasers, trailers and tidbits for so long is enough to make anyone who is remotely interested in it want it more than oxygen.
Sure you can get all the information from fansites and people who actually do have beta access, but who didn't wish they were John McClane instead of watching him.
I've followed this site for so long, why only 1 post? If you're asking that question you're the reason I don't join discussions here.

The reason I want to play the beta aside from the obvious fact that I really want to play the game and it hasn't been released yet, is that I get to feel like I'm a part of the development process. Of course it's only a miniscule role but I love the idea that I might discover some small bug or defect that will help polish the finished product. From what I understand if you provide good feedback and are a helpful beta participant it can give you a leg up in being chosen for future beta tests, don't know if this is true though.
I suppose it's pretty simple - I grew up playing Diablo/Diablo 2 rather passionately, and with a glaring lack of co-op/mmo-type games that interest me, this is my ticket. Nothing comes close to the nostalgia I feel for D2 except maybe old-school UO. All of this is besides the point though - This is without a doubt, for many of us, the game of the year based upon what we've seen; past Diablo experiences are icing on the cake. The game is going to be amazing, so who wouldn't want to get in there any start the journey all over again?
mainly cuz i want to play the game so bad. i wanted this game so bad for so long. i remember almost 4 years ago when they actually announced diablo3. my brother brought up WoW to play and i just happen to be next to him. on the news section and the picture news, it showed diablo 3. soon as i could, i got on that website, watched every video multiple times, read all the articles, etc etc. i was PUMPED. i checked back on the site probably 10 times each day every day for months on end. slowly the news updates started coming few and far between and i visited the site less and less. but each new class announce would bring me back. eventually all the classes were announced and news pretty much died with the site. went to other games, but diablo was always in the back of my mind.
and then..... boom, beta announced. new diablo 3 website. new information started sprouting and i got back into checking the sites and fan sites multiple times. i opted into a quite a few beta contests and checked my mail and battle.net every day as well. everyone knows the story from there, game gets delayed, tons of beta invites go out, revisions, anticipation, etc.
i am a diabloholic (maybe even a little.....obsessed) and ive waited a LONG time to play the game. i want to try each class, try different low level builds, play with the auction house, mess with crafting, and just have fun. THATS why i want to play the beta

(this build was before D3 launched... looking back on it now - i had no idea what i was doing)
The reason i want to try the beta is that ive been waiting for 10 years for the next diablo game and ive waited patiently. Being able to try the new skills/classes will be awesome and also help me decide which char i will make to start. I cant wait to get the game and just see how the world is set up and get back to dungeon crawling at its finest.
I want to play the beta so I can reach the pinnicle of my equipment build, even thought its capped at 13. I love doing this for any game, and its easier to get there when theres a low level cap. For this same reason I can't wait to get to 60! So I can do the same thing in inferno. I'm so pumped because I think the inferno concept is awesome, and it reinforces the replay value. PLUS, I love the New Tristram theme song. Does anyone else just play it on youtube? haha
Why does this whole contest feel like the manditory discussion posts you have to do for an online class? Everyone posts stupid "constructive" shit just to score points. Its not really constructive just shit done as a means to an end....
I simply want to try out each of the 5 classes. Though I'll really have to practice restraint so I don't end up replaying the 1st act over and over again until I want to kill myself.
I would say the reason for getting into the beta would be to have the chance to test out the game iv'e been anticipating for so long. And testing out each of the classes and seeing their abilities first hand even though it wouldn't be a full test would be nice. Also being able to help blizzard with beta reports as well as bug reports so they can figure out whats wrong quicker and get the game out to us asap!
Nothing else to do inbetween classes. Cancelled wow sub, been playing lol for a while but not it's getting dull. Been frequenting the d3's sights for a while now and just looking to get in on some action. I'm liking the monk right now but I can't ever tell what char's I like to I play them and get a feel.
I want to play in the Beta to get my son interested in playing Diablo again.
After watching me play Diablo II for more than 6 months, my son, who is now almost 11, finally asked me to get him a copy to play with me. We played for months together before his account got hacked and he lost everything he had worked so hard on building.
While we have copies of the game on order, he has not touched Diablo since then. I would love the opportunity to regenerate his interest in the games and get him excited to get his friends and cousins to play as well.
I know people will say he is only 10, but what is the difference between this, which we can play together, and Call of Duty, which all his classmates play and blow each other up with every foul word in the book being used in the background..... Coop vs Compet...... I pick Coop every day!
I'd love to play to get a hands on feel before release (who wouldn't?). Its like playing a demo before buying a game although we all know what Diablo is about =). I've been waiting for this game longer then any and the tension is mounting up lol... any amount of beta be it small portion of Act 1 or just the loading screen =D I'd take anything right now...
haha i wanna play because i played d1 from release then d2... i still play at night and just need d3 to come out lol... not to mention the gaming supervisor at my evening job (best buy) has a cd key -.-
After playing the demo at Blizzcon, I found my life just a little empty. It was a sad and disappointed feeling where I realized there would be no immediate gratification. Regardless, I have been wanting to try the beta in order to help get my input into the game. I have felt kind of voiceless without the proper beta login in the Blizzard D3 forums.
Apart from the joy of participating in betas, I enjoy the process of testing content, hunting for bugs, and seeing the progression of how the content changes based on feedback firsthand. I like being a part of that process.
In addition, there is something cool about being apart of the game before it's actual release.
Finally got the account working after not being able to log in, but it seems they fixed the problem.
The reason why i want to play beta is because i grew up with diablo and it would be nice to be able to test diablo before it comes out. I was in DCUO beta and contributed alot through the system they had implimented for bug reports. So i feel i could do the same for diablo.
