in diablo 2 if you got to hell difficulty you could not see games made in nightmare or normal. In diablo 3 will hell players be able to see normal and nightmare games?
I want to know people like me that live in South-Africa and my friends that will be getting D3 what is blizzards plans to make sure when we play together in group that we get good enough experience like any person that plays in Europe. With SC 2 we got the EU version of it so i take for D3 that would be the same.
1. Will people that live far from the server get good experience of D3 with out latency bringing the game play down ?
2. Is blizzard planing to maybe host a sub server for the EU version in South-Africa so we can also get great game play experience here ?
But what I would like to know is, are Blizzard region locking Australia? will there be another South-East Asia?????? Will I be locked to SEA or will I immediately get to access North American region
(With starcraft 2 I had to wait 2 months or so to be able to connect to both SEA and North America)
I hope i can connect to North America straight away
Story:
So if this will be the end of the Diablo story arc what would that mean for any potential expansions? Wil a expansion be a bridge to a possible future story arc in the same universe? Or will there be no expansions that are, storywise, after the story of the base game? Perhaps the expansion will finish the story and the basegame will start up a 1...2?
Wil players that prefure to play solo/alone be able to run to hell/nightmate by themselfs ? Or is there a specific point where you wil need friends to help you out ?
they have said you will be able to play the entire game solo, if your skilled enough that is.
How are guilds going to be integrated into B.Net 2.0 and is it possible to see a system of cross-game guilds over battle.net, like a glorified friends list?
Clan Tags? Example: [D3Fans]polarducky
How is Trading gonna work?
Have some kind of currency for D3 instead of using 3rd party(D2jsp)?
Anything different from SP and MP in general of gameplay?
My question is related to dyes. Will there be a preview function where you can see how a dye(s) will change the look of a piece of armor before confirming the choice. I would hate to use a hard earned dye only to realize that it wasn´t the look I was after.
i don't really know if this is a question for you or for you to ask while your doing this thing but since your under NDA until august 1 before you can spill the beans. does that mean ALL the systems won't be announced until august 1st? meaning until they are all announced we won't see beta until after august 1st at the very earliest?
I think this media event was announced as "world first look at Diablo 3 beta". Meaning that beta won't be out to the general public BEFORE this event (otherwise it obviously wouldn't be the world first look).
Will the artisans be restricted to only 1 of them maxed out to the highest level(others you can have at lower levels), relying on the community/trading to get the rest of what you need? (Kind of like the professions in WoW)

The final test of the Serpent's Form takes place in "The Pit of 12 Vipers." The initiates are not told about the 13th.
What measures are being taken to make utility skills like the Wizard's Teleport compelling options for pumping to max (even in pvp), so that we don't end up with a system that tends towards boring cookie cutter builds?
e.g. EVERYONE only puts 1-5 points in utility skills because they remain relevant without being maxxed while shield/CC/damage spells require constant pumping to remain viable as targets scale up in Damage/HP/Resistances/CC Resistances.
In diablo I and II the items droped "randomly" on the ground and an "epic" rush across the player was seen as everyone tried to get the cool stuff. Although this for some was fun (and is a part of the core diablo gameplay) it also could be frustrating and unfair. Some years ago u talked about a new system kinda like in WOW. Basically you talked about making the looting more fair and eaven for alle the players.
What is the status of this system?
How is the looting working in the beta?
How do u assure that a new system dosent change the core gameplay in a undesirable way?
/DizDK
Ps. Good luck. Wish I got to be so lucky
Pretty sure they have made it that loot drops separately for each player. For example say we downed Diablo together, I get 2 magical weapons that drop on my screen and you get a legendary head piece on yours. This is how it worked last time I heard.
Edit-> Oh and they have removed BOP / BOE (Bind on pickup / equip) so that if that head piece was what I needed you could trade it with me no sweat =]
1: How will set items be handled? What type of rarity will they be classified, as far as drop reward rarity is concerned? Will there be set bonuses? Will they add a new and unique visual effect if an entire set is equipped similar to Diablo 2? Can we expect multiple tiers of set items as there was in Diablo 2?
2: Legendaries are to have a unique graphic for each of them, separating them even further from tier graphics. Will Legendaries be considered the blue chip items of Diablo 3 based on their statistics or can we expect some novelty Legendaries as well? Can we expect to see a sample Legendary before launch?
3: Resource systems seem like an effort to further individualize character class choices. Were each of the resource mechanics designed with each archetype in mind to further gravitate players that normally play niche classes in RPGs toward a particular class? Can we expect each class to have additional resource generation skills/talents/traits to further alleviate downtime and if so could we possibly get an example or two?
4: Pacing in Diablo 2 was fairly straight forward with an occasional quest that took you out of the way. Can we expect quests or missions to take us into areas of interest that could potentially yield higher rewards than traveling the beaten path? If so, is this going to be used as a way to kind of herd players into alternate end-game options as far as loot farming or experience grinding?
5: Moo moooo mooo moo mooooo! Cows. Yes or no?
6: More and more titles are using achievements as "filler content". Will there be achievements that yield special rewards in-game beyond the achievement points? If so, could we get an example, hypothetical or otherwise?
7: Gambling was always a nice little feature that felt tacked onto Diablo 2. Has this feature been explored and revisited in any degree? Will this be a legitimate option to dump currency into as far as risk - reward ratio is concerned?
8: Respeccing your characters in many RPGs, be it MMO or otherwise, has become an expected feature. How will Diablo 3 handle this? Will there be a grind involved or will it be perhaps a drop?
9: Starcraft 2 has brought to light the new Battle.net. Can you tell us how Diablo 3 will make use of the features that Starcraft 2 has employed with the new online game hub? Can you share with us some features exclusive to Diablo 3 for battle.net?
10: Trading is one of the most valuable features as far as player interaction with one and another. Will this critical social game aspect be diminished as far as player to player interaction goes with a mutual trading hub or should we expect face to face trades to return as the sole means to trading?
11: With the Diablo universe, there has always been a much darker tone than that of any other Blizzard title. Graphically, the game looks absolutely amazing. Can we expect Diablo 3 to maintain the mature rating many long-time fans expect or will we see a shift in content? Can you give us an example of a particularly dark moment in the game?
12: End-game has always been a subject of interest and speculation to many long-time fans. What approach has been taken in Diablo 3? Can we expect to do boss runs similar to Diablo 2, or is there an alternative method to loot farming or experience grinding?
13 The follower system seems like a nice evolution from hirelings in Diablo 2. Will the followers be as viable in the harder difficulties as they are in normal? If so, will players have to compensate for them in the same ways that a player would if they suffer a penalty for being in the harder difficulties?
14: Magic find has always been a valuable statistic on items in Diablo 2. Will magic find influence other players' drops in your party or will it only affect your drops? Can we expect to see items that are seemingly dedicated to helping players find better loot? Could you delve into the basic function of the Magic Find system as it is in Diablo 3?
That's all I have. Thanks for considering my questions for Jay and the fellas!
Will SinglePlaying run on Battle.net or will we be able to play offline?
Will SP chars be completely separated from MP chars?
Will we be able to swap items between SP and MP chars?
Or just from MP to SP?

they said with new battlenet , your characters wont expire and they wont delete any of them so you don't need to worry

Oh man I really hope he picks this one as well. So far we know nothing about what endgame will entail.. I'd give anything for some info on that.

"Can I still believe in 2011?"
I need to know, just in case I want to make an alt account here to hide from the unrelenting shame I would be given from Winged.
e.g. EVERYONE only puts 1-5 points in utility skills because they remain relevant without being maxxed while shield/CC/damage spells require constant pumping to remain viable as targets scale up in Damage/HP/Resistances/CC Resistances.
Pretty sure they have ruled that out, they said "They will never delete any characters" or something along those lines =]
