posted a message on Diablo III PvP Update - PvP Arena System Postponed
Don't understand anyone having a problem with this, ofcourse just the automatic troll responses invoked in the very few morons out there

Even as someone who plays most Games for the PVP -- Diablo 2 probably not being 1 of them, I was and still am looking forward to PVP Arena Diablo 3 --- will probably spend thousands of hours in there, at first abit disappointed but the fact they don't want to delay the game for it is 100% correct, and the fact that this will give them a chance to just polish it up and making it that much more awesome, Aswell as I probably wasn't going to worry about seriously hitting the Arena until after Inferno on my Main and atleast rolled my hardcore/ other characters, so thats a good months or so, Best possible situation is that they patch in the Arena just as I'm getting ready for it

I really do hope it doesnt drag out a long period of time, but I'm sure Blizzard wont let us down :D

At least Jay will see how a game can actually be announced and finished in a timely manner and still retain its quality.

Lol at people reading way to much into this twitter post, already jumping on the QQ band wagon and 'boycotting' Diablo 3 "again", you people listen to "inside sources" and trolls, and then when blizzard doesn't actually go ahead with the false rumor's, you blame blizzard for it not being true, the game will be released when it's released, and that date is soon.

posted a message on DiabloFans Calculator Build Contest (ONE POST ONLY)
    http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/barbarian#WQdcRP!ZYg!ZcZaZb

The main purpose of this build is fast clearing and satisfying combat (The core of this build will be up and running as you reach level 26-30 so basically ending normal/ starting nightmare-- It is more of a build for once you approach the farming stages ( You probably won't want to be using it when first entering either Nightmare/Hell/Inferno) But when you get to the stage of the difficulty where you feel you're coping relatively easy, and just farming gear for the next Difficulty a set up skill's like this will be extremely satisfying and fast-paced.

Leap Attack ( Call of Arreat ) - The core of this build in theory would have to surround this spell and rune effect, It will allow for fast initations and the rune effect (pulls affected enemies towards you) will greatly synergize with the other spells in this build

Revenge ( Best Served Cold) - Revenge will be an extremely useful and devastating ability for this build, as I have seen from video's of Patch 12 (When Revenge was available to play in beta) If you were surrounded by monster's, it always seemed to proc nicely, which is directly where Call of Arreat plays a big role, the immediate surround of enemies ensure's you will have Revenge activate for ALOT of the fight, based on what I saw in beta, I'd be confident in saying 80-90% of the time with a full circle of mobs around you, taking away the time it might take to leap to another pack once you have decimated your screen. Best Served Cold provides me with a 10% Critical after using for 12 seconds, which will be used for my main Fury dumper ability, and for additional Revenge's, which will see it having a 100% uptime during fights

Whirlwind ( Volcanic Eruption) - Whirlwind will be my 'fury dump' ability used when I have the benefits from Best Served Cold, and other passives (coming shortly), essentially, it's Leap in > Revenge > Rend and Whirlwind in quick succession, Which i feel i will be seeing healthbars quickly obliterate

Frenzy (Maniac) - I'm still a little unsure about this ability, mainly due to the potential of just not having the time to utilitise the effects whilst doing everything else, before everything is dead (so alot of it comes down to how long these fights are going to last and how much can you chain pull), part of me thinks I'll be able to efficiently keep the effects of frenzy up while using all my other abilities.

The runes effect of Frenzy is 4% Damage increase every stack, which turns out to be 20% + damage when the effect of frenzy is up, It seems to diminish quite fast, but quickly doing 1 Frenzy after every Rotation of Revenge > Rend > Whirlwind seems like it will just fit it, Maybe, it does require abit of in-game testing ( which most builds do )

Although part of my thinking for grabbing Frenzy was for Boss fight's aswell, so it could turn out to be a vital and good pick.

Wrath of the Berserker (Slaughter) - Pretty self explanatory, use when ever available, and the screen is just going to blow up. SLAUGHTER, potentially DEVASTATING, with the effect of Revenge/Rend and other passives, I'm imaging there is going to be crits rolling all over my screen, 15 yard radius explosion's of blood causing 155% weapon damage every crit??????? All I can picture atm is my screen just Demon's blowing up all over my screen, in a rather instantenous fashion, it really is exciting to want to get this game and try this build out

Rend (Ravage) - Rend, potentially very devastating, from what iv'e seen in the beta, once you get a fairly decent weapon, Rend alone completely destroys some of the mobs, so now your starting to envisage what exactly is going to happen to these monster's, I think the most ideal rotation I have is

WotB - Leap Attack - Revenge - Rend - Revenge - Whirlwind ( If you're screen isn't clear by then -which i'd be amazed if it wasn't- )
    Continue to Revenge-Rend

Then when the screen is relatively clear, you'd want to start just chain pulling and jumping all over the place and just repeating the rotation ( WotB when ever it's available)

    Passives:

Ruthless: 5% Critical (woot) Critical Damage increased by 50%, massive increase for what should be a regular occurance for this build, a Critical Strike.

Weapon Master: Which weapon I go for will depend on what I need, if I feel im starved from Critical Strike's, I will grab a Mace or Axe. If I feel that i have plenty of critical strikes without using a Mace or an Axe, I will try to aim for beastly pair of Swords >:)

Brawler: Brawler is what I think synergizes with this build the best out of the passives, "As long as 3 enemies are within 8 yards of you, all of your damage is increased by 30%", As you can imagine with Leap Attack, and the general play style of this build, constantly being surrounded this is perfectly designed for this build, and 30% that's an awesome bonus to damage.

So as you can see this build if played effectively and efficiently it has potential to have a very high sustained bonus damage and crit %, how sustained I just can't tell until playing, but the potential is definately there and It was 1 of my first strategies that came to me when thinking about end-game / farming builds

Hope you enjoyed reading my build, i still get excited just imaging this build in use and can't wait to use it.

Goodluck to everyone who has entered, thanks for reading

posted a message on Deadly Reach vs. Exploding Palm
It was really hard to calculate and measure Exploding Palm in Beta, you get it at level 11, so from the get go you're using it on such lower level monster's it's hard to efficiently use it to it's full potential ( KEEP in mind that the explosion is 30% of the target's Full HP --- AKA crap for beta)

The full potential / 'skill cap' of Exploding Palm exceeds Deadly Reach imo ( they could be paired nicely though) Although I'm thinking Way of a Hundred fists with Exploding Palm myself

To maximise Exploding Palm's efficiency and effectiveness (although just speculating and theorising) would be to skillfully spread the bleed's out to particular distanced monster's on your screen to get maximum explosion radius, and there is the decision making with how to get to the Third Punch ( I believe last I heard it is possible to use Way of a Hundred fists as your first 2 strike's and then on your 3rd strike apply the bleed where necessary) I don't know if it still is like that, but imo that would maybe be a benefitial strategy

We will just have to wait and see and test it out in game ^_^

posted a message on Skill Calculator and Diablo III In-Development -- Class Skills, blue posts
The coolest thing about these video's was the art design of the acts / zones, wow all of them looked AMAZING, see the Wizard - Mirror Image one towards the end, wow that's gonna be 1 awesome zone to play in. And even the more subtle area's like the Monk - Serenity, how amazingly well the graphics are done with the grass, and everything else wow I cant wait to play this....

posted a message on New class in D3 expansion !
I think that Blizzard may try to think of doing 2 classes, One similar/returning which I would think to be Druid, I think they would fit in awesome with Diablo 3, just imaging spells like Fissure / Molten Boulder with skillrunes would be awesome

The other class although hard to guess, I think will be surrounding where Act 5 is *spoiler* I can imagine some pretty cool idea's presenting themselves in lore and in function when we get there

But it is possible Blizzard may only add 1, because when you think about it, how many variables it will add to the balancing, it will become crazy, especially if it's a completely new attempt at an archetype, so I'm leaning towards to just a Druid return which would be awesome

posted a message on Heavy assumptions on Mid to End-game?
People need to stop assuming they know more about the pacing/ the feel of Diablo's mid/end game, people keep describing this 'gap' and how they think they will feel during this "Deadzone" but the truth is they absolutely know nothing about how it feels, You know who does though?? The people who have been repeatedly running this game 1-60 x10000 times over the past 6 months or more, Yes, Blizzard.....

I mean, these people's argument's are in someways "correct" when looking at it from the point of view in which their 'speculating' and assuming, when I read it, it's just like...... You don't even know, maybe it turns out that there is odd 'deadzones' and other weird pacing issues in the Item Hunting / Crafting/ Exploring / Farming/ PVPPPPP etc, etc, etc, but honestly, when I look at it, even without runestones being physical items, it's still going to be massive, in terms of amount, and pacing

It comes down to, will I agree with the speculation/assumptions of the pacing/feel/deadzones/lack of substance to the end-game of Diablo 3 in which they have no actual knowledge of said content

    OR

Will I try to understand Blizzard's reasoning for their decision making, and respect the fact that they are the ones with thousands and thousands of run throughs 1-60 with all systems, They so far have delivered a game which will be great, and I'm sure they will get the balance in 'pacing/feel/deadzones/ lack of substance' at a level of greatness, that let's face it, you wouldn't be able to

Eitherway, I will see everyone at launch, and 10 years down the line

posted a message on Is Blizzard loosing its grounds?
    Quote from Mysticjbyrd

TBH the more I play the beta the more I think this game isnt that great. It feels like I am just solo farming for materials in world of warcraft, which I hate doing. Often times I find myself wondering if I am just suffering from Diablo 2 nostalgia, and in reality this game isnt that good.

I realize there will be new content on release, but at some point it will be the same as the beta. Continually farming the same mobs over and over. Its just like farming raid materials in WoW, except I don't get to have the fun of the raid afterwards.

I'm afraid that's why you shouldn't just keep playing beta over and over again, You're playing the beta as if its the final game --- farming endlessly when it's only 25% of Act 1, ofcourse it's going to get tedious. And I'm sorry, farming the same mobs over and over????? Did you play Diablo 2????????? fail troll right there

Crafting is just an additional option for the player to do, you're in no way obliged to farm for materials towards crafting, you can still do the traditional Diablo way of just farming monsters for loot, although you will be missing out, it's your loss.

posted a message on Opt ins being invited!
    Quote from overneathe

Right. And 10 of them are from this forum. Which would be 1/100th of the entire Diablo community. Uh-huh.

Considering their main focus for the beta is server stability etc, wouldn't you think it would be abit weird for them to go from testing at 60 people, to 20,000+ people? You would think they would be more gradual with the rise in the numbers, especially with the first wave of opt-in's, it would seem more likely they would invite 1,000 odd people to see how the server's stabilize and then go from there

Given that the invites are random I don't see how 10 people from this forum getting the invite immediately makes it solid fact that 20,000 + people must of got invited..... and you'd be suprised how much of the Diablo community use fan sites, Uh-huh you have statisitcs on how many people from the community use fan site's, hahahaha

Now people can truly understand just what customization Runestones bring, hopefully they will stop crying about the "No customization in D3 trollolol", because Runestones alone, is better/ meaningful customization not to mention the rest

I kind of see where you're coming from, but it's abit unjust to judge the icons from that screenshot (taken out of the gameplay on that backdrop with the glare, but for sure it is more vibrant then Diablo 2, but i'd have to see them in game to really see it, based on that I still think they're good anyway
