I have been a hardcore (tourney) gamer for a number of years now. So I tend to learn as much as I can about the game I play(ed) competitively (smash bros melee / d2 / halo 2 / MW2 / CS / and the list goes on!). Not to boast but I've come top 3 in numerous tournies, namely smash, d2, and halo.
Every game has frame rates and that is what I'd like to discuss.
I'm not sure what the frame rates are for the moves and how fast they come out but from what I saw in the pvp and beta footage:
The barbs ANCIENT SPEAR attack comes out pretty quick (3-5 frames is my guess) gets to the enemy and brings them back to the barb. Once the spear returns to the barb he throws his arm back (5-7 frames). But the arm follow though motion may happen while the enemy is returning to the barb.
ANYWHO... If there is two barbs on a team and they both have ancient spear they MIGHT be able to infinite you to death!
Infinite's are about timing and skill (most of the time lol).
Can anyone else come up with any possible infinite's?
Lol, Super Smash Brothers is played competitively? Wow, competitive gaming has gone downhill. Then again, I'm former CPL Counter Strike, so I generally don't recognize much outside SC and CS
So, were did this infinite = stun lock idea come from I've played plenty of games and never heard stun lock called infinite EVER. And they're not haters just because they didn't hop on your thought process and agree with you. While in theory your idea might be doable, you have to take into consideration grats you have 3 barbs stun locking 1 guy in a 3v3. But, in return you now have 3 stun locked barbs in a 3v3.
P.S. Don't assume people are stupid/nubs just because they don't recognize your abstract terminology.
Edit: does it sound like he's trying to be cooler than he is.
Use AS then GS to stun for 3 secs then YOU COULD use Earthquake then the other barb does the same and there you have an infinite.
Don't think they're haters, maybe they don't really know what you meant. Every game has its own term so maybe they just didn't play the game that uses the term
That build or selection focus too much offense (only 2 room left rage gen. and makes no room for defense) and rely too much on stuns. Once the opponent escapes from your stun lock strategy, your team is pretty much screwed.
And to counter your infinite aka stun lock, when properly timed. Barb can sprint/furious charge/leap attack escape from it, DH can Vault out of it, Monk can blinding flash/dashing strike/inner santuary to name a few, WD can spirit walk/horrify and wizard teleport/wave of force. There are more counters but these are just a few.

I love all loot fest kind of game! I will be playing all of them for the next few years. Loot fest games I'm looking forward to: LotR: War in the North,Torchlight 2,Borderlands 2 and of course Diablo 3.
Infinite is a term coined from Melee. I will probably get a bunch of hate from this upcoming statement but whatever... In melee it worked on % and not a bar of health so the higher you got the more distance you covered when getting hit thus allowing for infinite's (0%-death combos).
a few chars had infinite's (stun lock) and you could do them 1v1 as well as 2v1.
If you check out the semi-done barb build I have made you will see that an infinite between 2 barbs MIGHT work!
And if you check the description of the thread I put "most likely"

okay well Blizz has said that we will see 2v2 3v3 and 5v5 teams.
I forgot there was a cooldown on AS but if you have 2 or 3 barbs on a team then the infinite (stun lock for all the newbs) would still work.

You can use just about anything to beat someone 2 on 1.
As far as I know, there is no CC.
