In this thread, I am curious of a simple question. Which class for season 6 is going to be able to consistently clear the highest Greater Rift WITHOUT NEEDING TO FISH? I personally am not a fisher, I cannot just leave games, and wait for the right rift. So I am looking for feedback on which class can consistently clear high level GR's with at least a 90% success rate.
I will add a poll for each class and allow people to vote for their top 3 GR pushing classes, if you want to vote, feel free, but I would really appreciate feedback and discussion on the topic.
Thanks,
Demonmonger
*(I have experience with all classes aside from Wizard, but they seem fairly understandable compared to other classes)
I can say only from my point of view, and its damn narrow as I play barb 90% of time. Might of the earth set for leapquake barb is not bad in s5 and will be improved by some 50% in s6. I didn't fish at all so far, never had enough grift keys to simply walk out of grift that is crap. I did 79 so far, but I can do 78 some 8/10, no matter what is the type of map and mobs in grift. I find that MotE is good set for this.

Depends ... How far pushing here ?
For GR85+ I'd say no chance you could push without fishing map unless you're too over power.
This discussion is not about pushing at all. I am curious what the highest level GR is that each class can complete at a 90% success rate. Because I hate fishing. (In hindsight I should probably word the question that way?)

78 is a pretty solid level, how long does it take you to clear roughly? I took a break from Barb in season 5 to play with my new love child the WD. I got to a point where I was doing 70 in about 6 minutes, then school kicked me in the butt and I really couldn't progress farther due to time.
Would love to get back into Barb a bit for season 6, so thanks for the input!!!
Hi man! exactly my question dude! i was googling already which class/build can prolly clear the highes tier with 100% (since i also enjoy solo plays)
my bets go for crus, dh (prolly UE 80s) and barb (Mote defninetly 80 if not more)
This season i had a pretty end geared Mote barb and could 100% clear 79. if u dont have the top gear he still can do 75 with 100% after a few hours gameplay. set dmg buffed by 1/3 and elite gem will be used instead of esoteric... that means 100% 80s clear for barb in s6 and if u are in late game mb 81..82 inc.
This is getting me even more excited to jump back into the world of Barbarian! I was completely unaware just how potent MoTE is. And considering that Barb gets Raekor for their gift, they should be off and running farm wise from the very beginning.
I was trying a UE Demon Hunter in season 5, never could get Dawn, so was stuck around GR55 speed runs. Does Dawn make that much of a difference in the cube? I also lacked ancients, so I could see how ancients, calderons, and dawn would spike it up to GR75+
thorns crusader for sure. Since theres no need for crit ch and crit dmg u can get more toughness.
Will it be Voker or LoN?
I enjoyed Voker because it required you to attack. LoN was sorta boring because you just ran around on your pony and sat there. At least with pet builds you can watch your guys (Phalanx) attack and position them.

For Raekor im not sure how is will be in terms of consistancy. in s5 he wasnt to consistent for me and i ran or rather jumped non stop :). but the boulder toss raekor is quite different he does 0 dmg with charging. so BT is all his dmg. currently i am assuming that he is not that "skippy and fishy" as the s5 charger. unfornatly i couldnt test it really on prt since i have a 200ms latency that fucks up both charge and leap.
also if u are a fan girl (like me) of variaty within one class.. barb will have a good ww set again... and 4wastes+6IK rend build will also be a viable option again. last but not least people cleared a 86 with a lon thorn frenzy barb. and all thoes builds also do their dmg consistantly and are less fishy.. so yea im pretty sure as a barb u will have 3+builds to grift consistantly @80+
UE: their dmg is doubled and gems got buffed. they cleared a 90 on ptr. although for extended gr's its no my build.. i dont like to fire for ages on a pack.. UE is more a speed build for me.. but there was one gr clear 80 in 6:45min... just to show you some numbers here. thats means a dh should be capable of doing mid 80s consistanly solo. thats why i said "dh" after crus
Thanks for the breakdown, I greatly appreciate it!
I am a fan girl in regards to having multiple builds with one class, so you definitely performed a strong persuasive speech as to why Barb is the best for consistency, and everything else! My struggles with WD were just that. They have variations of PET BUILD's but not really an variation of builds. To me, Helltooth pet, Zuni pet, and LoN pet are still one build, PETS. I was hoping Jade could compete even a little, but it really does not in my eyes. Very solid for Speed runs though, so WD does have that going.
I am hoping others can come in with equally as impressive persuasive speech's on other classes.

It takes anything between 9 and 12 minutes, depending on rift

Does anyone have a few builds with clear times that they could share?
Crusader is the most popular judging by the polls.
I did not say anything about the most popular, only that Wizard is a popular choice. Please refrain from trolling or derailing topics as that is against the rules of Diablofans. Now back on topic:
I would appreciate it if anyone would share some preferred builds for both Monk and Wizard (a popular choice so far), whether it be in 2.4.1 PTR or something they are using currently in 2.4. Both classes likely are going to be represented fairly well given their overall power to fish, but remember, I would like some discussion about what builds within these classes do the highest GR at a 90% success rate.

There are onyl a few builds for 2.4.1 and discussing and sharing experience is always a better way then reading a simple guide which have most often not even explanations.
Logging into the PTR and experimenting with new builds is even better.

For myself, I think that WD, Sader, and Barb will be the best for solo, but not sure.

Someone has no faith in DH. *points to the poll* (DH is missing, WD is up there 2x)

WD with Gargs give pretty solid progression as you pretty just don't need density (up to a certain point).
Invoker Crusader is very solid as well.
