With contrast and brightness you should be able to adjust some bit of it already. I remember in D2 I used to slide the gamma and such a lot higher so I was able to see something. Now I cant adjust them anymore since I play windowed so I guess it uses desktop gamma.
Yep, and if that doesn't solve their problems they can go and play Sacred 2.
The problem with these guys is that their point of view is "my way, or the highway". Something as simple as a saturation slider won't be enough for them because the sheer knowledge that there are players out there who are enjoying the game in its default colors will irk them to a point where they will create petitions that denigrate Blizzard despite everything it manages to accomplish.

Yeah these guys would say "I want this game to offer me the perfect enjoyment without adjusting my grafic settings." If some people like the brighter version he would just have to live with it.
If they dont offer those options within the game you can always go over its head
Say, in a NVIDIA control panel im sure you can create different profiles that are activated with different hotkeys and have different brightness/contrast/color settings. It would just mean more work on your part if you didnt like the colors of the game.
I'm sure blizzard will have a comprehensive video settings menu. I really dont see why not
Yeah, really. At worst you'd have to make your own profile in ATI/nVidia. The whole list of complaints about the color settings is pretty much moot. If they do get their way, all it's going to accomplish is turn away many prospective new gamers or WOW players from ever even wanting to try Diablo 3.

And that would suck.
I wouldn't say turning away the WoW players is a bad thing.
No you see, you would convert a lot of them to D3 and then they would stop paying monthly... bad idea... Best to just make d3 perfect, even if it doesn't encourage wow players, they will buy a copy anyways just because they have to have a complete blizzard games set.
These 4 slidey bars should be found in the Video Options
Brightness
Contrast
Gamma
Color Saturation
That basically solves all graphical problems
Yes, you can actually take My Little Pony and turn it into dark killer vampires. No, I'm sorry but this is a horrible solution to the graphics qualms. I'm not going to be fiddling around with my monitor every time I play Diablo 3, now you're just insulting my intelligence. I think most people will use default settings when they play so let's dump this idea ASAP.

Setting save, they are permanent after you change them the first time
And you wouldn't be messing around with your monitor, you would be messing around with the ingame video settings
I think most people will use default settings when they play
I was merely offering a solution for the people who dont want to use default settings when they play (ie, all the people who signed that petition). Most people will use default setting when they play, yes. But by adding a few options the game could encompass everyones tastes
MY suggestion was that this kind of color correction, gamma, etc. would be built into the game itself. I don't know how much trouble it would be, but if somebody has and ear of the blizzard developers they COULD suggest it like I am an get opinions.
Those settings are in every game, so they are going to be in Diablo 3.

Diablo 3 is graphically and artistically great, there needs to be variety in the game, instead of only plain and dark areas!
+Wouldn't it be better and more interesting if from a sunny beautiful day, mist starts covering the screen, rain starts falling, thunders and lightning striking and it starts to darken, instead of constant dark!?
To change colour and the such? I've never seen them, only things such as being able to alter shadows, quality of the textures, distance of which you see things etc.
That is what I'm getting at. There is ALWAYS a brightness setting and occationally a contrast, but I don't remember being able to ajust the COLOR or depth.
And how for example will I make the game look like the edited pictures + have the light from the fire lamps shine more brightly?
I want to darken certain areas not the whole game, game settings won't deliver in this case.
WHAT PART OF "IT'S NOT ABOUT COLOR AT ALL" do you guys still NOT Comprehend?
FOR THE 100^1 Trillionth TIME, It's about the FEEL/ATMOSPHERE *GAME is NOT SCARY/EERIE ENOUGH!* that is the ISSUE!
They need to also reduce bunnies, rainbows, lushful trees.... those are what causes the Biggest problem, making Diablo 3 look like a Kids game, rather than a Mature Horror game.

Blizzard, please put back the single player offline mode!
Diablo is not a horror game, its an action RPG with gore that's all. From watching the gameplay trailer it's still an action RPG with gore, imagine that.
Doubt Blizzard would do it tho.
