Im looking for some info on toughness and health. Basically what is needed for torment 3. Im close to 4 mil toughness and around 425k health, with my damage at 415k. Do I need more/less toughness and is my health to high/low. Any info would be helpful, thx.
Toughness is WAAAAYYY to low for 3, I'm a wizard with 526k damage 572k once unwaivering will kicks in, roughly 450k hp and over 10 mil toughness and T3 is doable but takes forever with tons of deaths to champion and elite packs, expect a good 10~20 minute fight for rift bosses with alot of that being running back after dieing and expending all my corpse revives. I'd stick to 1 or 2 until you have better gear.

He's a WD, no one cares about your broken class. Don't compare the two.
I can run torment 2 rifts fairly easy, i dont mow things down but its not that bad. My question i guess is , is there a table of some sort that us WDs need to know? Should I be shooting for 10 mil toughness. Now im at 4.5 mil.
Not everything is reflected on the sheet there, like paragon points but in game I have a little over 6mil toughness [When I put a purple gem in myhelmfor the 23% life, right now I want MF] Without the life% gem I am at I think 426,000 life. In my paragon I stacked life on hit, life per second, and now i'm starting life% for more survivability. so i'd say 5-6 mil toughness is a good numb for running T3
Right now I am running through T3 very easily with minimal to no problems. My build is a little more tanky[link to build]
Jungle fortitude, leaching beasts, and bad medicine help me survive. If you do now want to use those skill I still think 5-6mil is a good toughness to be at.
Edit: From what you said above it looks like you can use a little more toughness but you are close. The 425K damage is a little low for T3. On my sheet DPS i'm sitting at a little over 1mil DPS and t3 mods are pretty easy to kill. IMO i'd say that when you get to 600-700k DPS you can start farming T3 with 4-5mil toughness. It does depend on your build, gems, and lucky drops to keep moving up the torment latter.

Hey now be nice. Yes a WD and a Wiz are very different classes but that doesn't mean someone can't put in their .2$ .
10mil toughness is good and all but not needed to far T3 for a WD. We have pets that can absorb damage for us [if you want to run pets] and other ways to debuf mobs. Running a higher torment is about a good balance between DPS and toughness. If your a glass cannon, you will die a lot and if your a super tank, killing anything will take forever. It also depends on your play style [some people love glass cannon builds and more power to them]
572K damages is good but not the best for farming T3 efficiently.
Thanks alot muffinman, I now have my damage at 729k as I jus got a new weapon drop, but when u described the dif between WD and wiz , It all made sense. We do have pets that can absorb damage andwizdoesn't. My wiz buddy that I run with has 10 mil toughness and I had 4.5 mil and it mademe wonder a bit.One more question I have.......for t3, is1000 res up to par...I have 1000 res across the board. Thx a lot again u were very helpul!!
I think 1000 all res is ok for T3. I'm at the 1300-1500 range [remember Int give you'd all res] and It's perfect for T3. I know I'll need more for T4+. I'd try to get some more all res but 1000 is ok.
Are you running T3 and having problems or are you waiting to gear up before going it.
There really isn't a perfect number for stats when thinking about higher torments. If you do into a higher one and get rocked you'll just know you need more of either toughness or damage.
I jus ran a t3 and w/ this build I use andthings were jus melting......out of all the builds ive ever played this 1 is by far my fav. Thx again for the toughness help, my wiz buddy had 10 mil and I was like ...damn I mus be low lol.
I Jus ran t3 w/ this new build and I jus melted everything, my damage in game is 726k and toughness at 5.5 mil.......thx again for the toughness help!!
You really shouldn't be dying in t3 with 10 million toughness. I do t6 with 13 and the difference between t3 and t6 is a lot greater than 3 million. When I was progressing, I had around 7million and about 800k damage (very little %elite and %holy). I'd aim for 1million damage (including %elite damage and %elemental damage) somewhere around 600k with none of that involved and about 6-8 million toughness depending on your ability to pay attention.
At about 800k with some decent synergized gear, you can kill rift guardians in 60 seconds or so. I don't know what Shadow is saying, as this was definitely not the case for me.

Congrats on a good weapon drop.
