I got an ancient torch, not sure if I should roll Vit to Life per spirit spent or roll my max dmg. I have a gift I haven't used as well. any help would be great.
There is no "right" answer. We are talking relatively minor differences. I would say you need to ask yourself, which is your bigger obstacle to progression, right now, damage or dying?
Long term, the weapon should be your top offensive tool, so I'd say roll the damage range. However, if dying or having to leave combat and heal up is a big problem for you, then there are not really any other sources for LPSS and it can be very useful.
Thank you for the feedback. right now its a bit of both survivability and needed dmg. I've cleared GR46 but don't quite have enough to do 47.
i'd be rolling a lot of Vit for LPSS. I'm leaning towards rolling for flat dmg.

the damage roll isn't very good, so reroll that. It already has 8% which is fine so rerolling the VIT is kind of pointless.
