Not to change the subject entirely but, why do the majority of tornado barbs i see use bash vs cleave. Cleave can hit several targets thus gaining fury for each object hit. Sometimes when im low i hit a group of barrels and BOOM full fury... with bash a group of enemies comes towards u with bash, u hit one once or twice and sometimes u still dont have enough fury. I may be a minority here but i feel that Cleave is way better than Bash.
Tornados are your source of damage so the amount of dps from cleave is kind of a moot point. Plus bash for single target intensive purposes will fair better than cleave will versus a boss if you dont generate enough fury quickly to just keep ww/sprint spamming through the entire fight, which will happen sometimes. Bash with the rune (cant think of the name) generates 8 fury plus an additional 4.
It's impossible to know how to spec until we know all of the changes of the patch. The monster power system is going to affect the way that we play but we have no clue how it will actually work yet. If it just boosts mob hp then we won't have to worry about changing our defenses and will just need more dps, but if it increases mob ilvl/dmg too then we will have to find a new balance between dps and defenses. We know impunity is being nerfed but we don't know if other skills are being nerfed too.
I'm pretty sure blizzard was pretty specific as to which skills they were nerfing, that part seemed clear. There is some uncertainty still as to the monster difficulty. You are right there is no way to know until the patch hits, but i dont think they got specific about the nerfed skills b/c they didnt want any major surprises in that dept.
No, they said certain skills that they are nerfing and one that they want to nerf but don't know how to (One with Everything for monks) so they won't yet, but they did not say that those were the only skills that they are nerfing.

Instigation is the rune you're after. However, I've been testing pulverize a bit recently and it's "aftershock" which hits quite far seems to give fury from Into the fray rune of battle rage. Works well for me, but I might still go back to instigation just because it's so reliable
Thats it..hard to get away with searching through diablo 3 stuff while at work ^_^. I hope they make more tweaks like this to offer build diversity, however they seem to go about it the wrong way. They've pretty much looked at the stats and went oh damn this one is too attractive, lets nerf it to make it in line with some of the others. I really really really wish they would address itemization the most..as it makes this game very bland. I honestly think stat allocation system like d2 was much better, than having primary stats be the main drive with itemization.
And what do you want to get instead of it to buff your DPS?
I already posted this before - WC+Impunity will still be pretty much mandatory for 2 obvious reasons:
1. if you'll increase the power of mobs, you'll need survivability to overcome the increased difficulty
2. if you'll play with 0 power, WC+Impunity will let you swap some AR for DPS and MF
Beyond Monster level 4 or 5 it will more than likely still be mandatory as per the newest information "You'll have to set the monster level to 2 or 3 to mirror the current scaling for Inferno during 1.05).
TLDR: it's a nerf in the context of higher monster levels.

Well in that context it would make very much sense that EVERYTHING be a nerf.
It's pretty much the point that higher monster levels should be harder to beat.
