I wasn't trying to question anyone's skills. The game is hard and sometimes bad things happen. I was just wondering why you are playing hardcore if you are just going to resurrect your dead characters using a third party program.
If you are just going to hack the game to undo your death, it seems easier to play a non hardcore character. You can still challenge yourself by trying to not die, but at least this way you wouldn't have to resort to a third party program if something happens to your character.
The point of hardcore is to keep dead characters dead. Using a hack to get around this rule seems kind of pointless since the normal mode of play does the same thing essentially.
It's still a death, it's still hardcore, end of discussion. By the way how can you say he makes a stupid mistake, then accuse other people of criticizing him? I don't get this.
Why would you need to play HC if you only want to count your deaths?
The point in HC is not to test oneself but to feel adrenaline when you play because you know you could lose something if you do it wrong. To feel truly happy about all of your accomplishments within the game, because you earned it, not because you simply tried until you finally succeeded. Without risk, there's no reward.
If the above does not apply to you, don't play hardcore. There's no need to punish yourself like that.
Exactly, i did feel the rush and adrenaline. For me this was the full HC experience.
Every time that my pool was running low my heart was racing like crazy!
I didn't know that you could resurrect, thats why i started this thread. I just thought its a shame to lose my dude thats all. I don't want to feel bad for the rest of the week so i was hoping that there is a way. I don't have the strength nor the time to start all over really.
Also if i would spend my attribute points i wouldn't be dead now
oh and btw, you get to have a cool red title when you play HC
p.s.
Its funny you used the words "no need to punish yourself", since 3 years back i'm playing every game on the hardest difficulty, always. Many time i don't finish the game bcuz of that (just too lazy to restart a level or something). I'm a bit of a masochist i guess :/ just like to push myself... I'm thinking to play Diablo 3 on HC straight away. I know i will regret it though when my char will die

I just died with my Necro on HC SP.
Is there a trainer or a way to play with that character again? registry edit or something?
Thank you.

Yup.
But yeah, your death is nothing but a single flag Hero Editors can easily change.
RIP: Demon Hunter: lvl 50 | Barb: lvl 60 (plvl 5) | Monk: lvl12 & lvl70 (plvl 200)
obviously. I still don't see the point though.
If you are going to use an editor to bring your hero back to life, then you should really just not play hardcore in the first place.
IMO, D2 should delete the character file as soon as they die to make this sort of thing impossible.
If you can't handle HC, don't play HC.
Don't criticize the man's skills.
It's the decisions you make when you have no time to make them that define who you are.
I feel much better now, thank you.
This time i'm gonna put all of my 135 unspent points in vital, so i wont get a heart attack when that pool is going down.
I play HC to test myself. And if i die then i just count it, but i want to continue.
I reached lvl 81 and died. I'm not a diablo 2 expert :/

necros are terrible, seems anyone over the age of 15 realizes that
its not supposed to be a nice game
autostats are rediclous
lack of pots is not welcome
if it aint broke dont fix it! (diablo2)
Blizzard disagrees.
