I really have no idea why it is so hard for Blizzard to post fucking patch notes. Seriously............They have no problem posting patch notes or at least the outline of upcoming patches for WoW. Yet we still get baby crumbs. I don't let this get me all hyped and pissed anymore. I just feel a need to express my overwhelming disgust towards Blizzard and the way they have handled D2 for so many years.

If we are hurting this bad for a D2 patch just think when D3 is closer to release. Where can I go to learn overcoming torture techniques.

You gotta get a friend to use the water board technique on you.:O:O:O:O:O

Yeah druids need some sort of buff. In all three tree's. Lets see what they do though.......

yeah but, good luck trying to kill anything in hell without the best of the best equipment. so if u dont allready have all the good stuff its almost impossible to get it on your own.

This is not exactly accurate. For instance, as a barbarian the IK set is very useful for starting the hell difficulty. The gloves, boots, belt and helm are all very easy to get. Most of the time they go for perfect gems. As for weapons, gimmershed is a great one handed axe with very fast attack speed and lots of elemental damage. They are also rather easy to get. With the above listed gear Countess in hell will be hard, but very doable. Just fill in the rest of your gear with whatever you can get your hands on. Also the defensive merc from act 2 on normal and hell gives you defiance aura. This helps out a lot with your defense, especially when you have gimp loot.

The two biggest problems everyone has in hell right off the bat are a lack of hit points and low resist. So personally those are the two areas I would focus on for starters. You will also run into immunity problems. However, gimmershed helps you with those types of issues.

Anyways good luck with your Barb. Frenzy barbs tear shit up. If you are on West Ladder I can help ya out with some gear. I can also help with any hell encounters you are having issues with.

High runes drop from regular mobs in the hell difficulty. You can also get decent runes from your hell forge. Being rich, well that means having the finest in duped gear along with a full inventory of duped gear and runes. Personally there is no point in striving to be rich in this game. Mainly because all the gear you get is not real.

Honestly the more time they take to work on the patch the better it will be. They really should have just kept their mouths shut, instead of talking about 1.13 and then delivering nothing.

My apologies for killing this thread....:(:(:(:(:(

If this patch is anything less then a flawless change to this flawed game......
I am gonna rage so fucking hard. Really I would rather have heard nothing about a new patch. Months and months of waiting for a patch we know nothing about.

Blizzard better not mess this shit up. If this patch is total shit I think we should all get a free copy of Diablo 3

well without high lvl EO, how are you supposed to take a hit?

    EO?

Sounds to me like your problems stem from a lack of hit points really. My GF has a light/fire sorc with just tals, and she does pretty well. As a sorc you will occasionally get two shot. That is if you don't have the finest in duped loot, along with a merc weilding infinity. I would also like to advise using a secondary type of damage for immune mobs. Fire/light is nice and cold/light is possibly better. I never see cold light immune. Ever....

80% of these forums are mediocre or singleplayer diablo II players, and its terrible how much they are influincing this game

I would like to let you in on a little secret. It takes no gaming skill at all to be "uber" at this game.

Well the whole 75 is max resist, unless your gear states otherwise is total bullshit. If you have 125 to resist when you count up all the res on your gear, then that is what the resist should be. The way Diablo 2 works in a lot of aspects is completely fucking stupid. I.E. Immunity's, iron maiden, hammerdins, no respec options, completely useless skills, magic find. Yeah I could go on forever.

You are not excluded. You just have to be careful because of crushing blow. The fact of the matter is the WoW loot system is better. If it was implemented into D2 the game would become more enjoyable to play. It is that simple.

Let me break down how WoW's loot system worked b/c a lot of you guys sound like you've never played the game and are making speculations w/o the facts.

every mob (monster) has a chance to drop a specific set of items. Here is a link to a WoW database website which gives the list for various mobs (monsters) of different levels and from different areas.

    Wendigo (level 6-7)
    http://www.wowhead.com/?npc=1135

    Fallenroot Rogue (level 21)
    http://www.wowhead.com/?npc=4789

Princess Theradras (level 48 Elite [Dungeon Boss])
    http://www.wowhead.com/?npc=12201

    Satharion (level unknown [Endgame Boss])
    http://www.wowhead.com/?npc=28860

Now if you visited the links you noticed the item level of the available loot went up as well. This was done on purpose as lower level characters were not able to participate in the higher level fights (level restriction on zone/dungeon). Also it made it impossible for players to fight any regular mob (monster) much higher level to them b/c of a fantastic thing called "crushing blow"... this made the bad guys do like 10 times damage to anyone 4 levels lower them them.

This is something that is NOT based on Character level but a static pool that is randomly chosen from. And I think it should be this way. If I want a certain item I should know who drops it and if I want another it should be off a different mob with a static chance unaffected by any magical property.

exactly! thanks for explaining this better then I could.

its not really an oversimplification... the other day i traded my visionary circlet (pally skills, attack rating based on level, dr etc) for 32 hrs... i had the essentials to make infinity if i wanted to.... instead i traded them for items... but really... its easy to get runes and shit...

You never would have gotten 32 Hrs for anything in the game if duping did not exist....
