Okay, when my wife and I lived in New York we played Diablo II with no problem whatsoever. We used the same router, she was operating on the same Vista-operated laptop that she is now, we both have the exact same copies of D2/LOD that we had before. The only differences now are that I have a new computer with Vista (as opposed to XP) and we are using Comcast cable internet instead of Time Warner/Roadrunner. We never had incident before, but ever since we started playing together again last night we keep getting temp banned.
Well, we both got temp-banned last night after having played for an hour or so in the same game. After completing act 2 with our new characters, she logged off for the night. Shortly after, I was temp banned. She checked to see if she had been too, and she, in fact, was. I went and tooled around on USWest for a bit then came back.
Just a bit ago, we had been playing for about 20 minutes, and after each of us having alternating latency issues, I finally got booted from the game and temp-banned (she did not). It's driving me completely mad! Can someone give us some insight as to why we're having this problem suddenly, whereas never before?
Cheers,
SmashBoy (just wants to play some D2 with his wife)
It happens all the time, specially more so often when you have two computer systems playing the game through the same connection, it's battle.net, go visit the battle.net tech support forums you'll find your fix there bud.~cheers
As far as temp bans go that's with the first thing, just try not to log into the game right away cause it'll just double the time, it's pretty dumb. HOPEFULLY blizzard tweaks all that b/s out with the new battle.net revision v.2-

"just wants to play some D2 with his wife..."
but it may have to do with having the same cd-key, or if its different cd-keys then it might be some ip bug associated with vista and/or bnet.
i use vista too and i dont get banned at all, i think i use comcast too.
