Toughness is EHP (explanation here: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/6933915251) - it's a much better value to summarize your defensive stats than just armor (as in D3 vanilla); it combines armor, allres, and life into one stat.
1) I believe Scholarly Writings are crafting materials. Somewhere out there is a screenshot of the item itself, and the description suggests it's for crafting. I'm sorry, I can't find it.
2) Nephalem Glory Globes look like Health Globes, but they're yellow, and they give you offensive bonuses (like an occasional blast of yellow chain lightning, or a very obnoxious column of light that looks too much like the legendary beam for my heartrate's liking). They are in the console version, and they are fun.
1. In one of the DFans pics on FB, I saw a lot of what I think said "Scholarly Writings" on the ground. What are those?
2. Saw a legendary that says it gives you Nephalem glory globes?
3. This may sound dumb but why did they choose to put toughness in the inv screen and how exactly does it calculate?
4. Has anyone tried out the new dashing strike on Monk?
5. For Innas 4 mantra affix, do the mantras all have to be on your hotbar?
