Im sorry for the people who are selling thier "gg" rares in AH for 60,000,000 gold that will prob be replaced in the next act of inferno, but i do agree that there is a demand for such ludicrous items like a 1100 dps sword with some Crit% mods. But do people actually think that these items will sell for millions of gold? Why not wait till the market has the gold for these items, to sell for that price? Or just wait till RMAH comes out?
I can't even sell items for 5-25k gold... Even HIGH DPS weapons (500-800)
Trying to sell every Item i have right now for 5-10k gold. It's more then the vendor gives me
Yea i totally feel you there, when the game started i made 200k in the AH in the first week, but everyone is basically geared up now, and the only items you can get worth anything now are over priced. You literally have to farm inferno while having no gear to survive to make money, the only option left is to farm gold for a month to buy a 10,000,000 gold ring. Is this what was intended, we cant farm bosses over and over again, but we can farm gold for 2x as long, something on this end needs to be fixed in my opinion.
There's really only a few rules for the AH on pricing:
1) If it's priced too high, it won't sell. They'll get it back in 48 hours. If it sells, it's not overpriced
2) If you don't like the lowest price, farm it up yourself. Don't bitch how someone else prices it. See rule 1.
3) No one has a divine right to not be undercut, and/or make X amount of profit. If you don't like someone who prices stuff lower than you, you are always free to buy up their stock, and raise the price on it, assuming the risk yourself. If you don't want to do that, don't whine.
On the first post it's a matter of trying to earn gold early on (a few people actually have this kind of gold) and considering how this game is so random the best rolls will be worth a lot so why should they wait if they can sell them now for more (less good rolled items)
Yea getting tons of gold early on is the idea, but this isnt D2. The ladder doesnt reset, and all the gold you get early on you can save and not craft anything, which is prob the best solution, bu eventually it needs to be done. You spend alot of gold just leveling up, pots, repairs, some training, its inevitable. I do think people need to make gold off of those GG rares that have great stats, but why put the item up now for such a high price when the market doesnt have that gold yet? That was my orignal question. That is why it seems a little unbalanced on the end of the spectrum to me. If the best item drops within the first week of the game for instance, how would anyone be able to buy that if its for sale? There is basically no way to trade gear for gear anymore, im sure people are getting thier GG items on d2jsp still

Not whining, I never said ANYTHING about price regulation on items, im sure the system will fix itself.

That wasn't personally directed at anyone. I've posted those rules about the WoW AH to various people before, too, and they apply to D3, too. People do whine, but I wasn't directing that at you. Sorry if it seemed that way.
Why do people imply wow to d3??? Examples: because in wow it's like this so it should follow I diablo, inferno is too hard nerf it like they do In wow so we can kill the bosses, you get a legendary with horrible stats and sell them at a rediculous price because it so much easier to get gold in wow then diablo. Though it's from the same company, diablo and WoW are different games. Eventually the AH will fix itself but you have to be realistic that the game has been out for 2 weeks. Another thing is, people are exploiting to get gears like the cellar run in act 2 (glad it got nerfed).

I was talking about the AH only. Those same rules fit both. Read things, rather than assume stuff that isn't there.
Edit: For the record, I'm glad D3 <> WoW. However, the Auction Houses in the two games work similarly in many ways, so things do cross over about them in this case. Also, don't assume that anyone who mentions WoW is some 13 year old kid. I'm 42, discovered D1 when I was 29, played D2 and LOD a lot, fresh out of the box on release day for both, and I have three kids older than 13 myself. I'm pretty much played out on WoW after seven years, but I'm not going to get into the 'Blizzard ruined it' either. I play another MMO (not Star Wars) when I'm not playing D3 or other games.
I'm searchen AH, and some things are overpriced, but a lot of them aren't.
See that +189 dex, +195 Vit +60 all resists + 45 Fire resists, +14% MF boots going for 6.5 Mil? I bet they'll sell. I know if I had the gold, I'd buy em
Watch all those items disappear from the AH when the RMAH appears.
And someone willing to get 85% gold, rather than 70% cash can make some good gold on AH if they want when the RMAH hits. I'm not that worried about making cash from a hobby. I have an actual job and an actual life to live, so I can't farm items for cash all the time, nor is that kind of play fun for me. (I don't mind farming items for my toons to use, but farming for cash, competing against companies set up to do so? No thanks. That makes a game like work.)
Ok not to burst your bubble but high dps isn't 500-800 I'm currently using a roughly 800 damage weapon (abit lower but still) with int and only reason I bought it was because it WASN'T high dps aka it didn't cost that much. if what your trying to sell doesn't have terribly rolled stats (aka people are searching for the stats they want not dps or armor) it will sell and 5-25k gold is fucking impossible not to sell if the item isn't bad.

500-800 dps isn't high?
Yes it is, I'm currently half way through Hell mode and using a 2H weapon with 313 dps on it.
I'd kill for a 800 dps weapon... literally. I'd kill thousands of demons for it.
I think people are just tossing stuff up there that looks good and hoping someone is suckered into it. Today I got me a new 2h bow for my 54 DH with some excellent stats and DPS base(at work now so can't look at it) for only 30k. Sorting the listing by DPS(not recrommended, I searched by stats) it would have been the highest one there, next under it is 500,000.
The AH will sort down after a while, whereas 40-50k I think is going to be the average of items as you hit the 50's. Oh, and if you see something supercheap that you might want buy it out instantly. Too many times a really good deal has slipped me cause I elected to think.
RMAH does have a 250.00 limit on items, i believe. If people cant sell them on the RMAH for what they want, they will take their gear to 3rd party websites for real cash.
