You'd do better with 8 GB of memory but make sure you have Dynamic Switching turned on to use your AMD card, not the integrated graphics card.
I'm pretty sure your model does NOT have two graphics cards, but not positive. First go to the Apple menu, then About This Mac. When that opens click on System Report. Under graphics/displays what cards do you have?
If you have the AMD Radeon HD 6490M AND Intel HD Graphics 3000, I'd suggest you download gfxCardStatus, install it and enable Dynamic Switching. http://codykrieger.com/gfxCardStatus

Nah, it's probably going to be a bit laggy but it should be fine. Turn down the graphics settings immediately.
Posts like this are incredibly unhelpful. I ran the beta on my Pro just fine.
Thank you, Chel. Appreciated.
Ran 15-30 FPS on the beta - LOWEST - possible settings.
just make sure you download the MAC version, or if your running bootcamp and Windows 7 then you will need the windows version
But they are right about smashing it ... or at least the part about getting a real pc
Cheers!
