And i think this guy is right we do need this, if it's going to help them give us proper, more content ( but i doubt that would happen )
Also i dont buy things ever, but i noticed there are many people that do, especially in NA. So hopefully this thing would make NA pay more, and give the rest of us also the deserved content.
Sounds harsh probably, but i've noticed that NA people spend tons of money on garbage. Cough, cough OW loot boxes cough cough
Im not opposed to paying for content for a game ive spent so much time on. The problem is, the whole point of D3's end game is trying to find and make loot to make your character as powerful as possible (or whatever the purpose is for your build). If you add in loot crates or pay for loot - you've broken the game or took away the major point of even playing it. In d3 you gain loot and cosmetics by EARNING it. Thats how D3 end game works.
They now charge $10 to change your in game name and going to charge $ for the new necro coming out. Find other ways similar to gain income to add more content other than loot.
It's pretty simple. Unfortunately, people always mess up the argument by adding small little "p2w" twists into their arguments, killing it off before anyone can read it, like OP in the thread you linked.
The problem is that Diablo 2 had both people who made a shit ton of money from that game as well as people who enjoyed the solo aspects. In D3V, they tried to combine this, unfortunately killing the latter and turning this game fully into Wall Street. Ever since pulling that plug, the annoying unemployed brokers come back and complain that they can't rip off other people anymore. And the people who were once ripped off are really really afraid of D3 Wall Street opening its doors again. So it's a difficult discussion.
this game is one of the best sellers of all times. no extra payment needed. stop promoting this bullshit. they dont need more money for diablo to acctualy do something. they already had enough. so, stop. k?

This game sold a lot because it has Diablo name on it, and because diablo 2 was such a great game, that people believed there is no way blizzard can make diablo 3 utter fck up. After first month of diablo 3 released , there were 100k people left playing over few millions that bought the copy. Some of them returned on RoS, but i bet there is no even 10 000 of you left playing D3 now
game sold a lot. and thats enough to know. now take that extra payment suggestion elsewhere please. blizzard is a rich and growing company. we are short of content but this has nothing to do with money.

Micro transactions: yes. Pay 2 Win (aka loot boxes): no.

microtransactions for QoL and cosmetics maybe yes but not for items.
Maybe a buff to increase magic find or exp is ok. but never on instant items.
I would absolutely pay for cosmetics
dyes / pets / xmog / portraits / banners / wings, you name it.
Hell I'd pay for boxes that are randomized. Whatever it takes for Blizzard to take this game seriously.
