How do you reckon Blizzard feels about all the leaked footage? Are they pissed off like crazed animals that haven't had a meal in days or were they expecting it to happen all along? Does it really change anything? I mean, they didn't give us their own official gameplay video of the desert scene so maybe they had a reason?
Or they just felt like they should hold off any gameplay vids till blizzcon. (Which - cross your fingers - is epic and like at least 30 mins long.)

they are bliz, they know how to be realistic. do you honestly expect a gamescon or blizcon to be held without people recording footage? It cannot be stopped. Besides, all of the "leaded" footage is gameplay which bliz specifically chose to show to the public in their demos. Its not like the recorded footage is something from their development environment which they did not intend to show to the public.

Right so then why didn't they just make their own official gameplay video or at least lift the rule for no cameras in there? Either way there will be hidden camera's getting a shot of it so rather than having that happen, they can just make their own video which would defeat the purpose of trying to sneak a glimpse of the gameplay.

they did make their own gameplay videos... many of them... however it doesnt make sense for them to make a hd video of everything. there still needs to be a strong incentive for people to actually attend events such as blizcon. what is the point of going to blizcon if they are going to make a hd video of everthing there. some things/experiences need to be limited to people actually attending the events, that way they attract the crowds to attend.
what exactly do you mean by lift the rule for no cameras... you can get cameras these days embedded in a pen, in a button on your shirt or just about anything else. you would need a swat team to ensure that people dont have cameras lol...
The only reason why they might mind is that those crappy videos don't exactly do the game justice. Other than that, I don't see why they'd care much. It's not like it's secret content, and those who are actually in the position to attend blizzcon will still much rather play the demo themselves instead of watching a shaky video online. So there's still an incentive and no actual content leaking.

I would have written what Frostbite5 wrote if it wasn't written yet here. Or kinda..

I said lift the rule (in other words to get rid of it), not enforce it...

If they don't get rid of that rule is, imo, because it's good for them to have "leaked" videos, everything forbidden use to appeal people in general, just look at the first posts in this thread, people wanted to see new awesome leaked footage! so if blizz isn't so strict about that rule is because people breaking it actually helps them... weird logic I know, but blizz is weird also
Well I don't know how valid that claim is because after this Blizzcon, everyone will be wanting to take a look at the official new gameplay video. While leaked footage is intriguing, I still would much prefer an official video due to its better quality, commentary etc.
I guess its all just about trying to provide more incentive for people to attend the events in person. Of course everybody would prefer to see high quality official videos as compared to shaky hidden cameras. If they allow people to record everything with cameras ( by lifting the rule on cameras) then people will bring their own HD capable devices and make high quality videos, reducing the incentive to attend the event because you will be able to see everything online in hd.
So in conclusion, Blizzard doesn't give a rats ass about the leaked videos but at the same time doesn't want those videos to outstage their high definition official videos? Sounds plausible

what leaked footage ?????
I didn't stop to think that I might need to be more clear about what I'm referring to, sorry about that.
