Everyone has been debating wether or not there are bags in the game to act as your inventory. Also, that if there will be potions in the game because of the health orbs the drop.
The answer to both of the questions is Yes there are bags and yes there are potions.

So it seems Diablo 3 is going to have bags judging by the inventory screen shown in the 20 minute gameplay video. There are icons to the bottojm right which could be bag slots. In addition the inventory slots were non tetris style and gave plenty of room for expansion.
We also know that they want to do some kind of auction house with details to be released in the future, and in order to make an auction house work they really need a medium of trade such as gold. In Diablo 2 gold was pretty much worthless so the medium was items, but that really doesn't work well in an automated auction house as comaprative values are next to impossible.
So ultimately they need to bring gold back under control and be worthwhile. What's the best way to do that? Make inventory slots progressively more expensive such as better quality bags. This and repair costs might actually be able to bring gold into the realms of usefulness with any luck.
I think your going too much into WOW with the bag system. I think we only have one bag and thats all we have. Or am I understanding you wrong. But I like your gold system, they should put more value into gold so that items and gold can be the currency in Diablo. Not HR (high runes).

Couldn't have said it better, but i do like the bag system. I came up with an idea. Remember in Diablo II how the belts hold potions. Well maybe the belts can hold small bags that hold items.

This has been stated so many times already.
Even if it is real, that writing looks like somebody used Paint lmfao.

If your insane, but still sane enough to know it, are you insane or sane?
EverQuest was using the bag system long before World of Warcraft was a twinkle in Blizzard's eye.
